Not so much. The RB5 was fast straight out of the box. Newey nailed the new regs, had zip zero zilch to do with Vettel.
A clean sheet regulation change had nothing to do with RB suddenly being fast did it? We know Newey sucks at regulation changes
Do yourself a favour and read what I actually wrote about Kimi vs Alonso, and then come back. And so sue me for supporting Massa over Alonso. I've been saying that Alonso is a snake before he joined Ferrari.
Because Webbo's car either catches on fire or the gearbox fails before it makes it to the finish line or they put him on #2 strategy...I don't see that crap happening on car #1, do you?
for the time beeing he is quadruple f1 champ in a row and deserves all respect for that, no matter if people think that he is arrogant or crybaby. regards-e
You've said time and again that the "toys will come out of the pram" Again, get real...your "build 'em up to tear 'em down" strategy against Alonso is obvious. The second Kimi moves ahead in the standings you'll be in here gloating like there's no tomorrow.
Andreas recently quoted an article that meticulously listed every problem and failure Webber and Vettel had... turns out that Vettel had considerably more problems and DNFs over the last years.
If you had bothered to read it properly, I'm prety sure I said I'm not surprised that Alonso will stay ahead, and I'm only hoping for Kimi to beat Alonso, and IF that'll happen, toys will come out of the pram. Just like 2007. Since you can't read I'm done with arguing with you for the day Link on this? Very interesting
Sorry, but you've already tried to say that Alonso has thrown a tantrum and tried to leave the team when there has been no proof of that. Plus, your whole view on the thing is weak. I actually have the balls to go out and say that Alonso will beat Kimi. You just cop out and say you won't be surprised if Alonso wins so if Kimi does you'll be overloading the server with gloating.
I hope Seb is reading this so he goes.....somewhere/anywhere, and builds something of his own. By stating Seb had everything to do with Seb's titles infers he is a half second quicker than Fred and Lewis, and in the physical universe we occupy that is just not possible. How about Seb heads to Mclaren and builds them to infinity, now there's an interesting picture. Seb dressed up like Senna just as Mclaren goes back to Mclaren/Honda and hopefully the old white/red color scheme. I would respect the heck out of him for doing just that let alone if he won any more titles, it would prove he is emotionally invested in building something rather than just ignoring team orders to win. Schumacher could have signed for Mclaren, won a couple more titles, then signed for Ferrari later but he didn't. Schu wanted to get invested into something. Those late 90s seasons were magical. If Seb wants that level of immortality he is going to have to do the same. And if you're wondering, I know for a fact F1 drivers have been on this forum....just hope Seb catches this one.
I can't find what Andreas posted, but I found this: Vettel, Webber and reliability at Red Bull - Racing Comments - The AUTOSPORT Forums With the summary, as of September:
I actually do think Vettel is getting the recognition he deserves from the media and what not, just maybe not this forum completely (to be expected, a Ferrari website). I think he's a HUGE talent but can't wait to see how he does once he steps out of that comfort zone like LH did. Hopefully he drives for Ferrari at some point and I can start liking him better.
If Vettel has less mechanical problems with his car just maybe its because he is more in touch with his car. A driver like that has less breakdowns. Clark was like that,Hunt was not.
So....the guy gets booed on the podium occasionally (fanboys will be fanboys) and your parents' neighbor says he's arrogant. Pretty anecdotal for a sweeping claim that Vettel doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
passing weber when told to hold position didnt help his cause. weber took it a lot better than vettle would have if the rolls were reversed.
Guess you know by now why many of us ignored him (on the 'ignore' list) right away . You should do the same. And HE accused Vettel of arrogant; that was funny. I also laugh at people saying the 'finger' by itself is arrogant. Just look at his interviews. Even with 70+ point advantage, he wasn't even hinting he'd win the championship. He has to be one of the most humble F1 drivers out there, if not the most. And ALWAYS thanks the team and everybody else; he never takes credit for the wins himself, like a truly arrogant person would. The poor kid just chose the wrong way to celebrate, even when he's just probably referring to having finished P1, not that he's the best driver in the world. And whining? That's the way he vents his frustrations; that's all. Yes, even the greatest athletes have frustrations, and each has a different way to deal with them. Those are supposed to be private conversations. He NEVER conducts himself as 'whiny' in public. Those critical of him because of that stupidity, just think how many times you'd have made a fool out of yourself if stupid comments you've made in your life (especially at 25 ) would have been recorded and posted on Twitter. You wouldn't be that critical now, would you? Ha ha. And that stupid 'Multi-21' crap; I can't believe people actually even remember that. How about when Webber did it to him? Or the myriad of other drivers who have disobeyed team orders, and continue to do it? Again, those are PRIVATE MATTERS between team and drivers. You shouldn't judge any driver and his actions based on gossip, because we don't know all the reasons behind it. But due to the simple fact Webber did it before to him, why the hell the outrage? How about Massa disobeying to let Alonso pass recently? Or Kimi not letting Grosjean by with his tires shot? Happens all the time, with and without justification. But only Vettel is the *****. Anyway, the guy is going to get the credit he deserves sooner or later. Now that he's no longer sporting just the finger, and he's aware any comment can be broadcasted, he's going to start doing much better PR-wise. He's liked much more than he realizes. It's just a small portion of fans who think there were more mature and successful than him at 25 .
Multi 21? Lol. Anyone remember when our lord and savior Alonso sat in the pit blocking Hamilton so he couldn't complete a flying lap in Q3? Anyone remember when Alonso blackmailed his own team with the stolen Ferrari docs? Mark
'The Red Bull is so dominant and easy to drive, a chimpanzee can win races in it...' Not my quote, but someone from my FB page. To me, like it or not, a lot of people are still convinced, Seb is overrated. He can get it off though, if he went to another team, and turned them into WDCs.
It annoys me when people compare ages for WC but ignore how much more racing experience Vettel has. Vettel started racing karts @ 3.5years of age and he was in the Red Bull junior team @ 11. In other words he was getting professionally trained/everything paid for him at an early age. None of the other drivers had a drinks sponsorship to get them into the sport. Lewis was also a recent young champion so big deal he is still 26. Try getting into F1 at 26 now and most people will think you are too old. It's a young mans sport so seeing champions becoming younger and younger is going to keep happening and not really a big deal. Also Fangio only had 6-7 races a year to win a title. Vettel probably does more mileage during practice sessions. He might beat all of Schumies records but I don't see him in the same league (yet). I have no doubt in my mind Schumie would of been pushing for the title win had he been allowed to stay another year. I can't say the same thing for Vettel if he went to another team. That's the difference between good and great. He gets booed because he is a **** and Malaysia only amplified what I (and others) have been saying for years. Look at how he reacted when he drove into Webber in Turkey in 2010 and how he reacted in Malaysia it was the same. A spoilt little brat. It has nothing to do with the finger pointing. No one cares how he celebrates the win. Well I'm surprised by this. Most of us here are avid fans and there are plenty of threads/posts that show how many of us don't like him. Asking a casual fan what they think would be a better gauge. Just to be clear not only is he arrogant he is also a ****/******bag. I know some people say he is nice away from track (and he might be, I haven't met him) but most people don't really care about his off track stuff. It's how he conducts himself at the track that matters. When he won in the Toro Rosso at Monza I actually supported him that race. My dislike for him happen in 2010. He didn't deserve the title that year. (Being a Webber fanboi might be another reason ) This logic from a fanboi I don't get. If a fan of Vettel thinks he needs to drive a crappy car to prove himself how can you consider him a great? A great doesn't need to prove himself to fans with crappy equipment, he should in a top tier team at all times because of the years he spent working to get to the top. If I was a Vettel fan I would want him to win everything all the time till he retired, I certainly wouldn't get bored of his so called greatness. People like yourself getting bored might mean you aren't actually excited about his skills. I loved it when Schumie destroyed everyone in the Ferrari. Even the Indy race I was happy to see all the other teams give up The only people that should be getting bored from Vettel winning are the non-fans. As much as I don't like him, I recognise his talent as a top-tier driver and a WC but he has a long way to go to prove his "greatness".
