Hey all, I am in the market for a BMW 1M and I've come to a preliminary agreement with someone out in Dallas who is selling their car. Is there any kind Fchatter who has some free time this Sunday just to give the car a once over to make sure it is as immaculate as it shows in the pictures? I am especially interested in the condition of the front bumper and any wear/tear to the interior (especially the driver seat/entry area). I've done this locally for an Fchatter before so that's how I got the idea Please respond/PM if you would be able. Your help would be very much appreciated, and I'll do my best to make it worth your while. Thanks!
Do you mean an M1? I could do it this Sunday if you would PM me some details. Were you not wanting to get a PPI done?
Yes, I wish it was an M1 but it's official name is the 1 Series M Coupe. Tons of fun, limited to 740 units and they only offered them with manual trannys so they are not easy to come by. It is still under warranty so outside of a burnt clutch it should be solid. I just need to ensure it wasn't beaten.
Hi Anzir - OK, I have seen the car, and it certainly presents as a 100% immaculate example. It also drives extremely well, no issues that I could see. I would of course suggest that you work out having a PPI done on it as well, but it certainly looks like a worthy candidate to me. James
