I wonder, did the truck park in front of the car first, or did the car park behind the truck ?

Either way, both are in the wrong.

I guess that's one way to lower your car.

The only way to know if its a total would be:

    1. Open hood and check fender aprons

    2. Check to see of top of motor is damaged

    3. Check side rails to see if they collapsed downward..

    4. Suspension damage from being pressed so far down..

I actually think the fender aprons are fine.. Engine and cooling components would concern me.

The car is down in the front because the trucks weight is still on top of it.. My gut is telling me that she is repairable. Thats just me

Too bad it was hit in the front because that is the better looking half of the car. If it was hit in the rear, the owner might decide to not fix it and leave it as damaged because it would probably have improved looks! :D

Glad he got a ticket. if your are double park and something happens to your car, it's your fault. I've had to squeeze by cars on police orders and in the progress side swiped or took mirror off.

This is so small of you to say. Glad he got a ticket..really? Do you really enjoy he got a ticket because the car was double parked? How miserable is your life for you to derive any pleasure from this?

And the truck backed on the FF so i would bet a penny that this would be the bigger offense here.

I own trucks and make deliveries to.the city and people park.and or.block with no.regard for others especially people who drive expensive cars.they are more blatant.

and in a semi truck that makes it hard to do my.job . that wouldn't happen if he was in a garage .without trucks delivering it , there would be nothing you could buy.

PS being double parked you are in the wrong. I side swiped a guy double parked who received ticket and was towed

I've lived in the city for 25 years..
If the trucks would make their deliveries btween 9pm and 6 am there would be no traffic jams or need to double park..
99% of traffic is caused by double parked trucks.
CHANGE THE LAW so deliveries can be made off hours.
so logical , its a joke.

And trucks making deliveries are never double parked? Please..

The FF might have been in the wrong, however, backing up would most likely put the trucker at fault over the FF.

And how do you sleep? I happen to be going through this exact problem. I live in downtown chicago and we have a 7/11 in the building. The delivery trucks are now coming anywhere between 9pm to 6am. Last sunday, i was woken up at 4am by the trucker throwing his pallet in his truck and by the noise the refrigerated truck makes while idling. It's not the first time. I live on the 4th floor and the noise is truly a nuisance.

if trucks made deliveries between 9-6 do you know how much more things will cost? you willing to pay the premium?

    the last fortunate aren't

Trucks must double park to make deliveries.

Very petty of you. I have always wondered how miserable people's childhood (and adulthood) has to be for them to take pleasure in others' misfortune.
