Jon, You are a master. I can not thank you enough for taking on this project. For those of you looking to restore a Ferrari Dino....you should begin to beg Jon to do it for you now. There is simply no one better and he is clearly getting wildly popular. In addition, working through the entire process with Jon was a blast. He helped with every decision and documented every step of the restoration. While I imagine that this will add value, I am never selling the car. My father had a Dino when I was young and I have always wanted one...so this is a keeper. I drove my Dino several weeks ago when I was on a buniness trip in Southern CA. It runs, looks and drives like a brand new car. While Jon is a master craftsman, he is an even better guy. Following the progress every night online and interacting with Jon is what made this experience for me. I will not only miss that, but also all the posts from every member of FerrariChat. You guys added to the fun....so much so that I think I will need to buy a GT just to keep this going. Thx All. Rob

I don't think the word "talented" sums this up. "Great Job" doesn't work either......I would like to say "wow I'm so impressed, schedule me in!!!!" but I'm missing the dino. Amazing work!!

Wow! What an amazing process. Thank you for letting us enjoy this pictorial adventure. You are truly a Master of your trade.

I would be interested to know what the cost range of such a restoration is. Please PM if you can.

    Best

Well I thought I would miss it but I don't have to as it's back in San Diego. It was shipped to the owners home in Florida and against my advice he decided to go to Cavallino knowing all the Euro changes he made would not score well with the judges. He got caught up in the madness and sent the car back to be de-euroed! We are changing the campagnolo wheels for his original cromodoras and we are putting all 6 USA markers back on the car. The front sidelights are somewhat problematic as there will have to be metal and paint work due to the location of the euro light. In getting the car ready I've had to strip a bit off the front as I don't think we can just do a spot paint job. The rears are no problem as I can cut out the metal without damaging the paint. I'm fabricating a battery hold down bracket as the car did not have an original bracket. Also putting original rear tail tights on and removing the reproductions. As of now these are the only changes he has given me but it's a slippery slope as all the smog stuff was removed a well.

I love the cleaner look of the original euro cars but totally agree that the US cars look best kept with their original trim - looking forward to seeing the re US-ification.
