    Just an FYI: FM 455 between Anna and Pilot Point (and further west) used to be one of my favorite roads. I ran it today, and it's been destroyed by the drought and by big rigs. VERY bumpy and rough, even at relatively low speeds I was grounding hard in the 328. Those who are known to travel at higher speeds than I may be looking at some expensive underbody repairs if you're not careful.

    got an Audi S4 Avant this week, the DPS are all over that road now They didn't stop me but are looking for trucks using the "Back Roads"

    I just wanted to update this thread. I just ran fm455 this weekend and it was in great condition and was a fun run, lots of s-turns.. So the problems on the road has been fixed since this thread was posted back in 2006. I ran from preston all the way over to 121 on the east side.. nice run..

    Is there a chance is making a sticky of recommended road runs in the DFW area in this forum OR is it best not to advertise too much because of johnnie-law might be watching :)

    I ran it about 6 weeks ago, but wasn't in the Ferrari. I didn't see anything that concerned me and I wanted to go home and GET the Ferrari!

    I like 1378 between Mckinney and Lucas personally. (at night though, without commuter traffic). Lots of friendly predictable sweepers, and only one traffic light IIRC.

    Speaking of lucus, if u are in the area, checkout E lucas road. There are 2 bridges over the lake where u can flat out turn it lose...

    What you need to do is come run our road rallies. We go out and search for good roads, and serve them up to you, several in one morning. Then we add some kind of competition to keep your navigator busy, and dole out trophies at the ending restaurant.

    The timing of this isn't quite right for this Saturday's rally, between Eagles Canyon Raceway and Tioga, because you choose your own route, trying to make the run in the minimum distance. Go to msreg.us/DMR13msr for more info and to register.

    Our offering in October, McKinney to Paris, should have some nice roads.

    I will keep an eye out for the oct run. I'm already sceduled to run motorsports ranch in oct, hopefully not same weekend..

    this time went east to west, 75 to preston. I did hit one good size pot hole going that way about 1 mile in.
    still had a blast. But in the future, suggest going west to east..

    another issue is both preston and 75 getting up there andd back have construction.. so have to deal with that.
