very cute.
I was at the speciale launch a few weeks ago and this spider was in the showroom with an unusual Arancio leather interior. Looks better in the flesh but a little bling for me. The now chargeable cavallinos are also smaller than the ones that came as standard on my racing seats (2012 Titanio through the window). Note the FF style wheels at an eye watering $16k extra. The gold calipers are twice the price of any other colour as well. I had seen the matte carbon before but thought it would be a no cost option, not a $10k up charge as on this car. I think the matte carbon bumper insert looks a little lost on a nero car. A nice but pricey spider. Speciale looks great but there are many pictures of the Uk launch car so I wont bother uploading. Much more room in the trunk that I thought there would be. Sounds fantastic. You can also get black or carbon front aero elements which will be better in my opinion that the alloy colour as seen in all the current pictures. Would love to see more pictures but those wheels might look great in the 458. Better yet in the standard finish, not diamond. Gold calipers sure look great.
I suppose the options change all the time but the sticker says sat nav and ipod cable a combined £494 now - I paid £2170 for sat nav in early 2012 and the ipod cable was priced at £500 although I got that and a couple of other things for free, as it were. The cavalinos (on racing seats) and electric steering column were standard then as well. Are the racing seats standard in the spider ? I dont see them on the sticker. The carbon pack is the same price that I paid but it cost £5k for the seats.
Sorry thats all the pics I have and its not on their website, maybe its sold. Lovely white 16m and yellow CS on display that day as well.

I just love that interior. Contrasts nicely with the black exterior and the gold calipers are a great, if understated, touch as well. I would have gone for the 5-spoke diamond rims, however.
BTW, what is the 1997 # item labeled "delivery protection" on the sticker?" I thought that the Italians stopped selling "protection" a long time ago, no?
That type of protection would never be mentioned on paper - cash only. I see the anti chip film is £2,750 so the delivery protection might be tyres and wheel insurance (as I was offered) and a treatment for the leather.
It was very orange, picture not great. Arancio is orange in Italian and it would not be my choice although it did look quite good with nero paint
thanks guys! ps people are going crazy on the streets with her new stance! imvho sometimes it's worth to forgo practicality a bit to achieve an aesthetic ideal
also the fact that the car sits as low than a 458 challenge gives me added thrill of driving so close to the asphalt and makes the driving experience even more exciting to me although i would not recommend lowering the car so much if she would be a daily driver, like i said in an earlier thread i only drive the car on roads that i know and cannot clear most speed bumps so practicality is totally out the window.. but i wouldnt have it any other way
wheel well mods done by the 458 challenge techs to accommodate the slammed specs: the bolts tying the front bumper to the chassis had to be exposed and re-welded 2.5mm higher to prevent rubbing, the back bolts (already exposed by the factory) were re-welded 1mm higher, it took the techs 1 week to do the work.. ah the cost of vanity Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
