What a shame. But if true it certainly makes a nice museum piece. Have fun replacing and finding all the rubber bits if you plan to start it.
Something smells wrong from the photos. I would need some more proof to believe that it is a genuine mileage car.
more like 100,570 miles. anyway if it has only done 570 miles from new, start looking for two new heads as they will be corroded to hell. Plenty of bits missing on the engine so it looks like mice have been in the tool box again.!!
The ad indicates that the car is equipped with A/C, but the dash lacks the third air vent, and the console is devoid of the two Borletti rotary controls, for compressor engagement and fan speed. Maybe that's why it's described as "rare"? Fred
I am looking at the web advert. forget the Dino, but reading how this private collection has been put together over the last fifty years, buying these cars brand new ,and then garaging them without use....Can you believe anyone would do that?. The cars seem to be photographed in different locations, not all of which are in S.E Asia.Is there something odd going on here? IF this a genuine collection, then I guess that some of you guys out there will know of it. If none of you don't,then it is probably a con.
It is not uncommon for these guys to advertise never driven/new or delivery mile vehicles. Private Ferraris for sale | Ferrari collection for sale
It does have the two centre vents which may be something to do with this style of aircon. Image Unavailable, Please Login
With R. Barrichello autograph on the dash? Give me a break. I would not let anyone touch my dash, much less write on it Regards, Alberto
What connection does Barrichello have with a 246? He wasn't born when the car was built. I absolutely HATE this practice of some celebrity associated with a marque autographing a car. As if it adds something to its provenance, I think that Carroll Shelby popularized it($$).
This RHD dino,if fitted with aircon, would I presume have been built fot hotter climes. Aus,Jap,etc.Has anyone been able to find the chassis number yet. Matthias, can you confirm that UK delivered GTS cars did not have air?
The Daytona's the 550 Barchetta and the SA were out of the middle east from memory. They were/ have been for sale for a couple of years i think, most are RHD so the rest could have come from the same place, just that i can't remember all the cars that were for sale when the add first appeared, just the ones i may have been interested in. [ or old age].
Although I am not 100% sure.... Looking at the level of cars, the fact that they are majority RHD, my assumption is that they could belong to someone like the Sultan of Brunei. And considering that he had F40's and F50's made in RHD, I am sure a different aircon and leather dash may have been on the cards if he wanted that.......
What would anyone do with a 570 mile car? You can't drive it or the milage goes up, stare at it? There was a 1500 mile Lamborghini similar to this, these cars turn into unusable static collectors pieces. Big turn off.
