why? now you have pushed my button !!!! How about a guy with about 35 years of Ferrari History in his head as well as numerous other marques . What now , we need to take a test ?? Bring it on Rocco !! One things for sure however the more you read on the subject the more you realize you don't know . That said if this Canada thread was just Ferrari it would most certainly die a quick death from Boredom! Gary Espada 8394 EtypeFHC 887465
Rocco Have you been accepting small powdery packages from the mayor?? Chris " Ferrari lover " doesn't have a Ferrari either so that would leave only one candidate ( albeit a stand up guy !) but there would therefore be no vote . Not fair or democratic to all on the forum I think . Gary
Are all the mods here actual Ferrari owners? Is that an actual prerequisite in the Ferrarichat.com rules? I'm an owner but I don't think it should be mandatory. Owning a Ferrari doesn't necessarily give you the ability to moderate on a forum. Someone with a good head on their shoulders and with common sense can be a good moderator. As far as I know, Gary and all the other candidates seem to have those qualifications. My hairdresser is actually bald but he cuts good hair, should I stop going there?
I might be wrong but I don't believe Vasco is an fcar owner; regardless Rocco is a god in these parts especially Paloma 😄😜☺😉😁
So lets ask this question assuming knowledge of the subject of Ferraris is a prerequisite for the Job of Moderator not to mention the ability to well ........ Moderate . For that my knowledge is as Rocco himself can attest to , pretty good. That being said and to Chris's point , what is the reasoning behind your desire that the moderator need a Ferrari to Moderate . I think if you cannot provide an answer that is more than just a whim and desire but an answer with substance then lets hear it and I will step aside as will Chris if your answer can convince all reading your quickie statement " no Ferrari no mod and or faves 1+ is more than just marque loyalty nonsense . So please elaborate for all reading with real examples of why it wont work or stop talking. And with all your new found free time start posting pics of your trips to say Cavallino , or Amelia , or Inn at St Johns or travel abroad and share the fun in seeing 15 GTOS at Goodwood or start a contributors thread on something , anything like cool videos maybe ? oh wait some one did that already .....etc etc etc or pioneer a local car show for the joy of the marque and benefit and fun of all the Fcar and Italian car owners in the GTA or ...................................stop talking. above all let there be more then one candidate so I and others can win or loose by vote and not unfounded jibberish . Jus sayin Gary Espada 8394 Etype 887465
Good point Mr. Espada, I think tho since it is you guys running for mod you guys should write a little essay on why we should vote you in. Say 4943 characters no more no less. And if you are a non Ferrari owner it better be good.
I agree 100% If someone is really into Ferrarichat and wants to be a moderator, they should be subscribed.
Gary, seriously?? This owning an fcar thing is completely ridiculous and you shouldn't even bother responding... Mods are here to police the site and make sure people follow the rules, remain on topic and be respectful to the online community. How does owning an Fcar help with that?
Where's our Western Canadian candidate?! Oh, and one of the best Moderators on the forum is Andrew aka Neurobeaker. While he does dream of 348s, he doesn't own one yet. So, it's obviously not a prerequisite.
Gentlemen, all kiddings & cat-boob pics aside, the one reason that I'm not comfortable as a moderator (for now) is that I'm the FCA Qc chapter president. And believe me, most don't even know of half of the crap I put up with in the backroom hallways of the Ferrari world. Perhaps at a future date, I will consider being the Overlord of the section that is sometimes referred to as America's hat. Till then: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gordon, as a fellow Calgarian (born and raised, but living in Ontario, for now at least), I was hoping for someone out west to join the election. The call was made, but only the Ontarians and our friends in La Belle Province. What's happening are y'all sleeping out there? Oh ya, you have snow. Chris
No I don't have a ferrari. Everyone knows that. And when I was voted in I still had no ferrari No it's not a prerequite. Saying it should be a pre req makes me laugh. Seriously....
this thread is now a couple of weeks old ... what is the next steps and when ? Gary Espada 8394 EtypeFHC 887465
Draw up some posters, write haikus for Fave, hit the campaign trail, try not to inhale or stain Ms. Lewinskys dress. Then wait until Election Day and let the tifosi speak. Image Unavailable, Please Login
