    Yes 1200 hp & 220mph + is not to be taken lightly. I'm starting w the 800hp V8 till I get used to it.
    I read the Corvette was much faster than the Porsche 962s at Daytona but mpg was a limiting factor as the 1200hp engine was very thirsty.

    They used up to 1200hp in practice but in races it was just under 1000hp

    Yes it is. The car in the 2nd picture is the sister car, car #14. Car #4 won Daytona and Sebring in 1996 and ran the long races, #14 ran the sprint races.

    Had a little mishap a couple of years ago at Sebring. I am just finishing a full rebuild and restoration.

    wow, that's really cool. what a great piece of history.

    I'm assuming it's probably the last car to win Daytona and Sebring in the same year? edit: Doran won both in 1998 with a 333SP. I assume with the same chassis?

    I don't know if the 333SP's were the same chassis. I do believe it is the only N/A chassis that has won both races in the last 25 years, maybe ever.
