Bought a 1988 320i E30 convertible last night. I have not seen the car, only paid a 10% deposit for it.
I bought it entirely because it was cheap (end of season price) and seems to be in good condition, just as when I bought my E28. I'm passing on the E28 to my little brother now.

I will pick it up next weekend. It's diamond black with dark red leather interior, I love that color combo!
I love these old cheap fun cars, can't wait for some sideways fun with that straight six noise with the top down!

Lot of great looking cars. That E9 is incredibly beautiful, I love that color, and I love the Alpina wheels. Very tasteful!

I was just out driving my 635. Will be getting it painted in the beginning of next year. I have fallen in love with it all over again in the past few days. Quirks & all. So different from the other more modern cars we have at home (All BMW's too). I now daily drive a 1 series hatch, and I love how dynamic it is compared to the FWD competition, even if mine has the lowly 4 cyl engine. But the 635 is just something else. It makes me feel special.

ha! I forgot to report back to this thread... See the date of my original post. Sorry Russ!

It's pretty much shared daily driver duties with a couple of other cars, and is my primary choice on any trip over 3 hours. It's given me 10,000 miles of smiles this year! Ill need to do some suspension work soon, ball joints, brakes, and probably a respray.

It doubled as a deer blind the other day! (We were just standing around around talking when I spotted a buck. :D )

I had two of those, his and hers, both silver with black interiors. But one had to go to make way for the minivan. Still have the 03. Great cars.

Thanks guys. Only mod is a 5sp. My 2002tii is actually more fun to throw around, but there's no more fun a GT than the e9.

There was a 2800CS for sale locally that looked very much like that a while a ago. The carb'ed engines do have a uniquely great sound.
