whoa ....controversy in the Canada section?? LOL seriously though, no need for speculation, RL and the guys will have it sorted soon enough, even if that means a week or two ....it's not like the section would implode without a mod for a short time
Having spent a short time being a mod here on Ferrarichat myself I can say that there are an excellent number of enthusiastic volunteers that act as moderators. Vasco has done a great job over his 10+ years giving of his personal time for no reason other than being an enthusiast. His polling of the community for his successor is a mere courtesy to attract the interest of people that would be best to police the forum and it showed a lot of class for him to do so. I think that many here have taken the process as being more formalized than it is. At the end of the day we are all playing in Rob Lay's sandbox and quite frankly what he says goes and I have no problem with these realities. From my perspective I think that the 3 people who have been put forward are all excellent candidates regardless of the car they drive or hockey team they support. I know two of them personally and the other has always had above board posts so I see them as all good people to carry on Vasco's mantle.
Wow, I made it to the cottage for a quick break outta the city and even here I can feel my ears burning Anyway, before I go back to some relaxing I wanna mention a few things. As you can see I rarely log on so that has delayed this. So for that I'm sorry. I would also like to thank those who have stood up for me while I was busy with real life things As Gary has stated, I was hoping for a couple of more contestants. Fab, you're a great user and you'll make a good mod and so I wish you the best of luck. But remember to do this you are gonna need allllot of patience! And no, there is no back room deals And as some have mentioned, I didn't need to do all this. But as much as I wanna "retire" I will NOT let this section go to the dump! So I chose to be part of the process to choose a new mod. For that, I will now add a poll that will last a few days. We will have Chris, Fab, Gary and I will add Adi who has also volunteered. Best of luck to all. I gotta go back to some wood cutting P.S Don't try and rig votes. As a mod, we know everything!
Don't forget Esteban! It would be an honour to moderate this section, but in all honesty, the only reason I stepped up is because I think I have the ability to be impartial and not banhammer-happy - as well as my panties not getting all knotted up at the slightest mention of my name. I haven't been around here as long as some of the others, so I don't anticipate getting too many votes. I'm just thankful to have the opportunity. Good luck to everyone!

Vasco, thanks for speeding up the process and your 10+ years of service... Surely some of us get a little agitated at times but that's because we care about this forum very much and love being here so we take things to heart...
