bit of a stretch from the germolio to the ferro
I like the germolio but is it a today color or very 70's
the grays are very elegant and strong

agreed, it is coming down to a radical verses safe option. I have had loads of grey cars and it would be good to have a metallic colour, I quite like the idea of red Daytona seats as well, although if I go with Germolio I would probably try to have Germolio leather inserts in the black Daytona : )

Were all these colours available in 73 for the coupe?

While the suggested colors are beautiful, original is always best.

as far as I know, Daytona inserts were always black....
if anybody has any pictures of original Daytona seats with other inserts colour as black I would be very interested to see them....

    Have you considered Verde Speciale?

Ferrari owners are so generous to the next buyer, they keep the mileage low and have a colour they don't necessarily want in order to benefit the person they sell it to!

Grigio Ferro Met. with burgundy trim looks fabulous (not sure how bright red would look though).

I also love Verde Germoglio (otherwise known as Kermit green) - I think it looks just fabulous but I have a concern that it only looks great in bright sunlight such as Florida and California. I've just returned from Qatar and white Bentley Continentals look fantastic there but I would imagine white would be the kiss of death if I were trying to sell a white one here.

I know what you mean about Rosso Chiaro. Mine was originally this colour but is now light metallic blue. I'm going to repaint it soon and have the same dilemma. Logically it should go back to it's original colour but I will probably choose something else. I am not 100% convinced original colour is so important on Dinos as it is on the 12 cylinder cars.

it may be one day simon!! these cars as you know are appreciating in value, but the owner has to live with it so paint it at whatever colour is best for you.

Nerodino painted his car a different colour to original and that didn't stop Chris Evans paying a huge sum for the car

I recently changed mine from RC to Rosso Bordeaux (original)and didn't regret it one bit

The way I determined the short list was a process of elimination, there are loads of colours I immediately rejected, and I quickly got to 5 colours, ever since I saw the compendium Verdi was on my radar. But I am in a last minute wobble situation thinking I might go off it after a couple of years! Grey however almost makes the car look more modern as it isn't a popular 70s colour looking at the build quantities.

Just looking through the compendium again!! Noticed on page 59 the viola Dino colour looks amazing, the viola car I have seen in real life (currently on sale at foskers) looks much lighter. Is viola actually dark purple as the pic in the compendium? If so that is coming back into my short list for spray outs.

Viola is a very, very select colour which will mean only a few will even consider purchasing the car on re-sale.

I would leave that colour alone....

Build the car for yourself....many cars that still fetch good money are not in the original color anymore.
Besides that I have a feeling that non red cars are way easier to sell.
I would prefer a non red 246 any day over a red one, dont care if the color on it is original, if the condition is ok.
So germoglio , yes! Love the color, allmost had it on my current racecar.

The DriverSource car does not look like Blu Dino Met. It is too dark and looks like it is more likely to be Blu Sera. I had a large spray out of Blu Dino Met done today and there was a GTS in the shop that has just been painted in Blu Sera Met so I was able to compare both colours. Blu Dino is a much lighter and more vibrant shade of blue.

That's the color they quoted on their website. I agree. It looks much darker than Blu Dino Met. Love the shade though!

Agreed, Iain. One of my Dinos is Blu Sera Metallizzato. 00852 is definitely Blu Sera. Fred
