Fab I come out of my shell so I can vote for you and that's the thanks I get. No respect lol. Good luck.
Never mind, you almost got me in trouble....Lol It's nice to see you posting now.... Allow me to make a proper introduction: Everyone this is Robert, a standup guy, a true gentleman. Previously owned a 348, now has a 355. He's an FCA member as well. Robert enjoys wearing shorts 12 months a year...Lol
First off I will say that if Fab or Chris should take this I for one will be thrilled !!!!!!! Now for the troubling commentary Knowing you can only vote once, where in Gods name did 105 votes come from as for the last couple years there is only ever about a dozen guys that ever really contribute to this thread other than those that try and sell something or promote a show . I am stumped on this one. I know Fab is doing a great job of drumming up votes and more power to him but as soon as he gets elected is dust going to begin to reform on about 90 keyboards across the country ???? I think Fab got a lot of votes from 355 section as he is always posting there with all his projects & is very popular there.
Yes, there is a good race going on! I have also been in contact with Rob and the winner will have to be discussed with him and approved. I too went through the same thing. Also, there is a very good chance that there will be two new mods. The other is a long time user that I (and others) have been chasing for the better part of 8 years to join in on the mod fun. Again this will all be Robs last say and in the end it is what is best for our growing forum. Thanks for all your help, participation and understanding.
2 mods ??????????????????????????????? Why then bother at all with a vote? Curious Gary Espada 8394 EtypeFHC 887465
Gary, me and Rick were mods for many years together. No biggie. If it does go through with the other gentleman then he gets a straight pass through and that's it. No questions asked and when you guys see it, no one will disagree. It has been years in the making for me And c'mon guys, you thought I was gonna let you guys create all the drama in here and leave none for me? Bah
Vasco, I tought the multiple mod thing wasn't a good idea? What happened? If you guys are going to go with 2, why not make it the top 2 in the vote? As it stands now, we would have 2 excellent guys (1 from Quebec, 1 from Ontario) who are way into it and would love to do it so I don't see the why now suddenly there is a necessity in recruiting someone not in the poll.... I just find it weird that there is all this scrambling and new things going on now after weeks of discussions and now 11 pages??? If I do end up with the votes in the end (and yes Gary I've made a lot of friends here and not all of them post in the Canada section but many of them read it and agree I would make a good mod), I don't see why that would be so bad? I'm an honest tax paying citizen, never been in trouble, never got arrested, never smoked crack (or even a cigarette). I'm a father of 2 precious little girls and married 9 years. I'm a normal sane intelligent person and run my own business. Been a Ferrari owner for a couple of years now which was a dream come true for me. Been on fchat for a while but got a lot more busy posting since I've had my car. 2 of my threads became "thread of the month" and I've used all the knowledge I've acquired to now help newbies here who have questions of their own and I still learn from the pros myself everyday. I visit the site many times a day, I'm very active, made some great friends here and continue to do so on a daily basis. I came up with the concept of organizing the Fiat Breakout which has now been embraced by the city as Montreal's Official Italian Automobile Festival and it's the largest Italian vehicle gathering in Canada with 180+ vehicles. I also got several car clubs from the US, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal to collaborate and put together the Raduno Montebello which was a smashing success with many beautiful cars. I do all this as an unpaid volunteer for purely the passion for Ferraris, friendships and italian cars in general. I'm involved in the following car clubs: -Club Fiat Montreal (VP) -Club Ferrari Luigi Quebec (VP) -FCA Quebec (member) -Club Alfa Romeo Montreal (member) -Vintage European Auto club (member) I also created AMICI (Associazione Motori Italiani Canada Insieme) in the hopes of uniting all Italian Car clubs in Canada so they can collaborate and create bigger/better events. Webpage is amicicanada.com if you're curious... I love this stuff, I love Fchat, I love cars. I'm honest (to a fault), reliable, passionate and dedicated. I hope that the democracy will be respected whether I win or lose out of respect for me, for the candidates, for the Canada section and for all fchatters in general. If there is any issue Rob or anyone has with me, surely it can be resolved. I'm very open to modifying my approach if I need to and I'm very flexible and eager to please. So for those who were wondering, that's me.....definetly not perfect but not that bad!!!
Gentelmen, every section on F-Chat has multiple mods. It's one way of keeping the moderation impartial and not putting too much on "one" mod's plate.

Gary, cut me some slack will yah? Of all people you, know very well who would have to answer the many calls during my business hours to chat with you about certain things. I really don't think you should be the one to be blowing up here. Perhaps there are flaws in what I am doing. But I am honest, straight forward and can assure that there are no back room deals and that there is nothing aside from me wanting to get out and leave the place in the right hands. Instead of freaking out why not discuss? We have been discussing this in the mod forum and I have been told Rob will have the last say. His site his rules. And I agree. Maybe I should have said it earlier. But I didn't, so now what? Anyways, I gotta run.
-If you admit flaws in what your doing then maybe Rob should be doing it ... -if your wanting it to be left in the right hands your actions are screaming that Chris, Fab and my self are not "the right hands" -not freaking out only a car chat room really.... just asking a question to which I'm still awaiting the answer . -my post IS the discussion IN the Moderator forum . where better to discuss ? So that you guys can stop beating on Vasco, let me explain how this is going to work. First, two things need to be made clear: 1. The results of this poll will not determine who the new mod in this section will be. This is not an election. 2. Vasco alone will not determine who the new mod in this section will be. Rob chooses who moderates his website. I'm sure he will probably look at the poll results to see if someone that he might otherwise consider is actually a terribly unpopular choice among the users in this forum. However, while polls such as this one tend to be popularity contests, the most popular users seldom make the most effective moderators. He will also discuss all prospective candidates (not just those listed in this poll) with the entire team of moderators; naturally taking into account the opinions of those in which he has already entrusted his website. Factors that we will weigh include temperament, judgement, discretion, and contributions to the site. Then Rob will make a decision. As far as there being multiple moderators in this forum, that is and has always been the case. In addition to Vasco, Yin (ylshih) and I also keep an eye on this forum and have moderator responsibilities and capabilities here. Obviously, somebody like Vasco who regularly participates in the Canadian forum will generally see and correct violations before they are brought to our attention, but Yin and I receive and respond to reported posts in this section. As well, we review all initial posts by new users for potential spam, and either approve or delete them accordingly, actions which we perform daily, yet are not apparent to other users. So cut Vasco some slack. Also, I recommend that those who want to be considered for the position let Rob know via a short PM. Experience has shown that the heavy campaigners tend to be poorly suited to the job in the long run.
I no longer want this job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im out ! I sincerely thank the 17 voters whom had confidence in me . Gary Espada 8394 EtypeFHC 887465
