    I 100% agree.

    I had a Scuderia, new 2011 Lambo LP570...and FOR ME...the 997.2 gt3RS is on a different level.

    I was lucky enough to drive a Singer. Loved it...beyond love...I lusted for it. The GT3 RS has all the same 'feeling' as the Singer for $250k less.

    Will be interesting to see how long it takes for the .2 RSes to come closer in price vs the 4.0.

    The gap has to close, if only because there is not much between the 2 cars, yet the numbers gap is huge!

    True, although I think the 4.0 will always be worth a LOT more just because...

    When I sold my 07 GT3 I actually had a deposit on a 4.0 (and later had a chance to buy a friends black 4.0 for MSRP)...I passed both times because the price delta vs. what I paid for my '11 RS3.8 was over $70k. And then I saw the R&T test of the 4.0 where the tested in Europe numbers (0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile) were EXACTLY the same as the 3.8 !! In my mind, the 4.0 was not worth +$70k vs the 3.8 (as noted, they are both 2011 GT3RS', with carbon fenders and +200cc the main but not only changes).

    Ultimately I'm glad I didn't get the 4.0.....I would either not drive it or would sell it for the $100k+ profit to be made now. Then back to a 3.8 RS !

    it looks the speedo was unplugged! that's some deceleration. I'm sure the limiting factor is the tires; imagine with a set of R-comps or slicks on it...

    also from that video, the distance for 300-0 kph was 269.4 meters...that's almost 900 feet.

    in one of the world's most capable performance cars.

    remember guys...when driving fast, it takes a long time to stop. heads up and plan ahead.

    The gap will close though, $200k more for a 4.0 just doesn't make sense. That said, I'm with you, I actually prefer the 3.8 RS

    As you can see in the images below, the 3.8 has attached spats that go all the way round the wheel arch including the trailing edge of the front bumper unit below the front reflector, whereas the 4.0 only has the spat attachment on the trailing edge of the bumper unit below the front reflector. On the fender part of the wheel arch, a lip has been rolled into the edge for the 4.0. I think the 3.8 RS perhaps looks mare aggressive in this regard.

    Wow...I never realized that...so you are saying the extended front wheel base on the 3.8s that required a tack on fender extension was revised on the 4.0s via a wider fender...awesome detail that I have missed. Thanks!
