Looks like a regular F12 out for a test drive.

California most likely. Too early for an F12 GTO.

I think California. If you look at the rear lights it seems like they are more set within the body of the F12....as the California would be shorter.

Too bad, if so. Now that they've popped the non-homologation cherry w/the 599, could be a cool and consistent way to brand the sport-focused 12 in the line-up.

Yes I've heard the same. My dealer told me the exact same thing. I asked him should I wait for a GTO he told me no. He said there will be no GTO but something different. Think of it like the 360 stradale, then the f430 scuderia then the 458 speciale. Its the same with the F12 he says. The engines internals aren't titanium so it could be on the new car down the line at the end of production.

Don't think it's a Cali...shouldn't be Cali has an open top instead of coupe?

Why not? They could be just testing the drive system. Don't judge based on the wrapper. The idea is to hide in plain sight because they have to experience real world situations...

could simply be a mule for the development of new engines? and probably for simplicity and to confuse have used a F12 in development disused?

Yes. There will be a better version coming of the F12 ... one does not have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out ... but it won't be called GTO.

THE INTERIOR LAYOUT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT TO THE CURRENT---PROBABLY WOULD LOOK LIKE CROSS BETWEEN 458 AND F12 ??
