I have a direct lift pro park. I did my research on these a couple years ago and direct lift was one (maybe the only one at the time) that actually had specific testing done to verify their claims and what it was capable of. I also went with direct lift because of the local dealer that is close to me in case I ever need servicing. So far though I haven't needed any service.

I've had a pair of Bend-Pak HD-9XW for about ten years. Works every time, never had an issue. Only maintenance is to lube the wire cable.

Check garagejournal.com....there are a ton of threads about different lifts.

    :)

What is the cost of a four post lift? I will be needing one of these soon. I saw the video on Backyard Buddy lifts. Impressive.

And, after Googling it, did you find any pricing on Backyard Buddy's website?

The two Bend Pak's that I mentioned above were about $7000 (for both) delivered and installed. It was about ten years ago.

Wiseguys :) I always Google before I ask. I like BB lifts. I just wanted to know if anyone had a ballpark price. I will call them.

Bend pack is made to ANSI specs not all others are. Price with install for standard 4 post 9000 lb lift was about $4,500

If I recall my direct lift pro park was $2800 installed. Best bang for the buck that I found. I believe mine is a 9000lb lift as well.

    Are you affiliated with them?

I never do business with anyone that doesn't post pricing openly.

If I have to call for prices, I think that they either have something to hide, or are trying to lure me into calling for a bait and switch. It gives me a bad vibe. Why can't they simply post the price?

I bought a 9000# Bend Pak. $4,350 for lift and installation. $1,600 to raise garage door and install direct drive side mount opener and $650 for electrical work. $6,600 TOTAL.

Did Bend Pak do the install? or did you have a 3rd party do it?

I bought a north American unit 9000lb asymetric unit $1395 + 400 delivery. Installed myself in 5 hours, picks up my 4 wheel drive crewcab etc although I don't store a car on it with another under. Inexpensive home shop style unit should last forever with my usage...

Here's another question for you guys -- what's the most 'compact' if there's such a thing for these 4-post lifts?

I'm interested in setting one up although space where I intend it to go is pretty tight...

    Thanks.

So you don't have the confidence to park another car under it but you have no problem parking yourself under it?

Maybe I'm not understanding your point.
