When I saw the stache, I told my wife there would be a thread here. Don't know what is worse...the stache or the new haircut. Whatever blows his skirt up, I suppose.

For those unaware, it's "Movember" - an official global charity, Movember’s vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health. During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of moustaches on men's faces around the world. Through the power of the Mo, vital funds and awareness are raised to combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges. For more, see their website at us.movember.com

Hope that adds some insight. Hope all enjoy the race weekend.

Thanks for the 'reminder'...I'm just holed up here in small town Texas. 8>) So there is a decent prospect that December will bring out the shaver? Hopefully.

It' Movember gents, give him a break. Have to love the fact Will is happy to sport the moustache whilst knowing he's going to get a hard time about it.

I'm a fan of Will. I think he does a good job and it takes balls to sport that 'stach knowing how bad it looks and that he'll be seen by millions. Well done Mr. Buxton!

Real men recognize the need for men's health year round. No need for gimmicks.

Our society has become a society of gimmicks. Grow the **** up, people.

Grow up? No thanks, too boring. There's more than enough serious grown up stuff to occupy every minute of the day - but having a little bit of fun is actually acceptable, maybe even recommended now and then!

Nothing has me particularly bothered today or yesterday or the day before.

But I am frustrated by the wussification of our society. We engage in all the symbolic deeds and acts, as if they will magically relieve us of all guilt and pain. As if we are "good people" because we call attention to ourselves about men's health.

Don't you see . . . it used to be that people would actually volunteer to help others. They would give time and money and not expect anything in return. They would work at a food bank and not post it in Facebook.

My business partner volunteers at a soup kitchen two mornings each week. He doesn't post it on facebook and not many people know. He gives time and money. And he sits with the people there and talks to them about their children or grandchildren. He doesn't post pictures of them on the net for exploitation.

Now, it is all about us. A few years back, people were falling all over themselves to get the Livestrong yellow bracelet. OK, so you want to give to men's cancer research, then give to men's cancer research. Don't go out and buy a bracelet and show everybody how good you are because you gave a freaking dollar for the yellow bracelet. And don't expect the adulation and low whistles that accompany you for being so chic--he has on a yellow bracelet, he really cares. Ooooooh.

In American, it has become less about the cause and more about "my feelings about the cause." You see the difference. It is about the person now, not the subjecct matter of the cause. It is social media run amok.

And when a sportscaster sports a girlish looking moustache and prances around like a poppinjay on camera, then I am going to call him out.

    Its a Mustache......

How many F1 guys from the past wore a stache? Regazzoni wore one most of his life...

When was this magical time btw?

Whats wrong with drawing attention to mens health? Theres a reason so many fewer people smoke these days, attention was drawn to the issues with it.

People are learning about heart disease....

    Cancer...

Im not a bracelet kind of guy but it is good marketing and it does help educate people on a lot of issues. The Livestrong website is pretty good/informative as well.

If it isnt your money being used I dont see the issues.....

Oh btw its just a Mustache, and marketing...........
