    What did you think about the dash?

    To me, it looked like a repurposed wood-grain Formica coffee-table from the '70s. Hang me if that is the original dash, but it just didn't look right. But heck, any Bug is great to see at a show!

    57C Atalante chassis no. 57766. The pics below show how it looked when it was recovered from the Strauss estate in 2007. After restoration by Sargent Metalworks, it took 2nd place in its class at Pebble Beach in 2011.

    By the way, this car was originally bodied as a Stelvio Cabriolet, but it went through a body switch with Atalante Coupe chassis no. 57733 when both cars were owned by Ray Murray.
