This is a week late, but I pulled the trigger on an FF. I traded in a 2006 612 Scag (my first Fcar), and I can only say that it is a night/day difference

Picked up the car from San Francisco. Made a trip out of it. Took the wife and kids to Monterey, then drove PCH down to Santa Barbara and back home to OC. For anyone in SoCal thinking about buying a car, I strongly recommend buying a car from SF and driving PCH back. How many times in your life can you say you drove the West Coast of CA in a Ferrari?

This FF.... is seriously amazing. For me at least, its the perfect ride. I need something so that I can carry the whole family (wife + 2 kids). I don't think there's any better way
    a) same engine as F12 (essentially)
    b) same DCT as F12
    c) no rubber belts to worry about
    d) clutch does not wear
    e) 7yrs of free maint
    f) handling of this thing is unreal

It took me all of 200ft to realize I made the right decision. I was perpetually used to the "jerking" of the 612 shift, and with the FF, the DCT is perfectly streamlined (and thats using auto). Echoing some of the feedback from others... the car has monstrous power when called upon, yet drives so smoothly even my wife commented how it feels like her Cayenne. The build quality is leaps above the '06 generation. The engine is superb, revs really freely up and down, and the sound is true music.

At first, I was hesitant on pricing, but after driving it, I can't believe they are selling for this cheap! I mean, this car is essentially a F12 w/ backseats (which is critical for people like me). I think people don't realize how much car and good the build quality is until you're able to drive it a good day or two. I was lucky with the car having been optioned with almost everything I wanted... Passenger Display, LED Steering, Front/Rear Camera, Suspension, AFS, Alcantara inserts. The creature comforts are nice... to be able to stream music from the iphone in a Ferrari, look at a NAV map. The seats are really comfortable. Did this 600mile trip down PCH with no problems.

For anyone on the fence... do it! You will not any any regrets.

Thanks to everyone on the forum who helped me answer questions and get off the fence to bring home this amazing machine.

The FF is an exceptional vehicle. It is really in a class by itself for transporting four people in comfort, style, all kinds of weather, and with blazing performance. While there are lots of exotic two seaters to choose from, the FF is unique (the Bentley GT is really not in the same class).

You forgot about the Maserati GTS. Sporty looking car with good sized back seats with enough room that fit adults (that actually have legs!)

+1 and somewhat misunderstood and underrated, rather like a bastard child. Apparently at a recent dealers event, even LDM had his doubts!

    Congratulations.

I really can't envision a better color for the FF than black. Your car looks stunning, congratulations. Can you tell us the serial number?

Could just be the screen's resolution, but I believe it's PPG's Nero B/B.

Similar situtaion to myself. The 612 was my first f-car and I traded to the FF.

Just curious, do you miss any aspects of your 612? I feel that the 612 offers a more raw experience. The FF is very smooth, solid and refined and feels thoroughly modern. The FF also has insane amounts of power and holds its own better against the two seaters.

Are you planning on using as a daily driver?
Any further thoughts are welcome I will be in SF in the next two weeks and hoping to buy it then and trade in my Alpina B7

Its Nero Daytona. I previously just had Nero, and I prefer the metallic Daytona much better.

Hi StickBreitling... actually, your original post is what motivated me to make the trade. I have to thank you for making jump on the decision! Actually, I don't miss a thing about the 612. Just my own preference, but I feel the FF is so much more solid and reliable than the 612. Granted, there is 10yrs of technological difference in the car and components, but I always had a feeling that the 612 was "old". I had an '06, so I didn't have some of the newer items (NAV, superfast shift, etc). I love that the FF engine revs more freely and I definitely do not miss the jerking of the shifts.
