No problem! I'll try and find an engine bay shot somewhere Here is my story....my Grandfather worked 30+ years for Ford. Every vehicle we had growing up was Ford. My Dad met my Mother while stationed in Italy. Every chance they got, he was stationed in Germany and I ended going all 4 years of high school there. One day, they came home with their new car...I figured it was a new Taurass.....nope, it was a 328is, brand new! After that, the rest is history....fell in love with the marque and will be selling the Z4M coupe and either the M3/325i (can't decide yet) to fund my exotic car purchase....
I have three (well, we have 3)- I have a 545i with Dinan exhaust and stage 2. Have an '04 X5, and just got an '07 X5 4.8i (this is an amazing SAV). I love BMW- great cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Some pics of the M3: 97, TRM S2 with PTE6262....I traded my prents 328is for this stock M3 back in 2002. Told myself that if I survived Iraq, I would turbo it....been a boost junky ever since! First and foremost Alex thank you for your service and I wish you a belated happy Veterans Day. My father and my closest uncle are WWII veterans so I made sure I called them Monday. Are you running a internally stock engine on the M3 and how have you compensated via engine management for your boost application? If you are anything like me you will soon regret selling the M3 (wish I could afford to persuade you) after all you have put into it. The work is super clean and unnoticeable to the blind eye.
You're most welcome...coming from a military family, that is what we do. I'm currently off active duty, but supporting the troops here in Afghanistan as a contractor now, hoping to come home and buy my childhood dream car...either a Ferrari or Lambo! I'm running a built bottom end with CP piston/Eagle rods with 8.5:1 compression. Head is completely stock. The car is actually converted to OBD I but on the factory ECU, tuned by TRM. I have spared no expense with her, and I've always told everyone that I would be burried in it! I just got done rebuilding the '91 325i and turbocharging it prior to my deployment....I will probably put the M3 and the E30 up for sale and see whichever one goes first. You are right though...I've put so much time, money, and effort into the M3, I probably shouldn't let it go....I love the interior too! There is hardly anything on this car that is still stock....built differential, GC coilovers, UUC swaybars, STOPTECH front BBK, etc Image Unavailable, Please Login
And lastly so I stop whoring out my bimmers in this thread is a link to my '91 E30 325i build.... Completely rebuilt the block, o-ring, arp headstuds, generic GT35 turbo that I need to switch out to either a genuine GT35r, or go with something like a TD06-20g/GT30r 1991 BMW 325i Turbo Project Slideshow by Hoova0797 | Photobucket
I am impressed but not surprised that you did it right the first time so kudos on that front. Follow your goal and dream and some times that involves purging vehicles. A conversation concerning vehicles never passes without my father or brother questioning my decision to trade-in my 4Runner for my Miata but they are truck guys and I am a sports car guy. If I was currently employed with another police department I could make you an offer on your M3 but sadly cannot. Life is short brother, as you know, so attaining certain personal goals is very important. Do you have any dyno numbers for either car?
You are 110% right....life it short! '97 M3: 545rwhp/540rwtq @ 23 psi '91 325i: 259rwhp/280rwtq @ 14 psi Have the find the printouts somewhere....
Printouts are not needed (they are nice though) as your numbers are basically what I was expecting from each car. Um just for fun or maybe a possible purchase PM me some details. Gregg

320i E30 Convertible. It makes me feel like a 80s stock broker!! VERY fun to drive. Did not notice any open top "wobbliness". Not a rocket, but it's huge fun to be able to max out the gears on the road. The soft top makes the in-car noise levels very high, but no worries about that. The raspy "sewing machine" straight six engine note is addictive, had too much fun in the tunnels on the way home I think it will be a keeper. Not a mint condition car, but with just under 100.000 miles on it, it's got plenty of life left. LOVE the red interior, so much nicer than the black leather or gray textile interiors! PS. It looks MUCH better and more charismatic in the flesh than on these poor cell phone pictures! Perfect simple and compact design, I'm loving this! My wife loves her new 650ix convertible. We need FWD for the winters at our weekend place in the Catskills, so the M6 convertible was not considered. But she is still sad that she doesn't have the 100+ extra HP. This weekend we will put the snow tires on. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Nice! I've had the M6 in the past and it was probably my favorite M car of all that I had owned. I had Supersprint X pipes with an Eisenmann exhaust - deafening!
