Am I wrong in thinking that on the early cars you could have ordered those wheels? Or that perhaps a few dealers fitted them on the showroom floor to help get them off the showroom floor? Love them and actually think they work ok on GT4's.

Hey Guys, so I just received my car yesterday from Berkeley. I ended up using Nationwide Auto Shipping which was a great price - $1435. The car was delivered perfectly, but it was a total hassle getting the driver to deliver it to my mechanic. I ended up having to drive it to the shop from where the guy dropped it off with no plates, no nothing! Anyway, prior to taking possession yesterday, I have never seen a GT4 live before - only in pics on F-chat! My other fun car is a 1963 E-Type roadster, widely recognized as one of the most beautiful cars ever made. IMHO, the GT4 is a lovely car in its own right. I wasn't prepared for how wide and sure its stance is - it honestly makes me think of the Testarossa. I don't really see the relationship with the Urraco, the rear treatment of which is disproportionate to me. Of all of the Bertone designed cars of that era, I think the GT4 is the most beautifully realized. I can say that now that I've actually seen one in real life! Once the nice weather returns to the Northeast, I will snap a pic of the E-type and the GT4 side by side and let you all decide. I for one love having them both - the GT4's looks more than impress. Now, I have to get to work on everything else ...

On one of my Ferrari pal visits a guy drove from Idaho in his ferrari with logo plates, drove back from S CA with not so much as a peep. Law enforcement treats some a bit differently than others….

Says it's a Euro car and although it's got Euro pumpers, the side indicators lights look like a US car to me. The US license plate holes seem to also indicate a US car. No chassis number to confirm. "Ferrari" badging on trunk rather than "Dino 308GT4" badging. Driver's side mirror looks wrong and Prancing Horse on rear is in the wrong spot. Looks like he's received a couple of offers already. I sent a note asking for more details and pics but nothing back. I like the sliver over blue color combo and since I'm in the market for a GT4 I like the price but without any real detail on the car, I'm not making any offers or buying unless the seller provides some solid info.

Kathryn, was talking about having to drive her new GT4 without plates to her mechanic. I had a similar problem when I got my car the PO kept his personalized plate and it took me forever to get even a paper registration. I was relating a story about a Ferrari guy I met at a local event who stayed around a few days and we hung out, drove around went to dinner with the wives. He had no registration and or plates on his car from Idaho ( i think he had a logo plate in a nice frame, he was even surprised he had not been stopped . I talked to him when he got home and he drove all the way back to Idaho without any incident! I dont have that kind of luck! HA

I think that silver car is a Euro, most cars coming to the US had side marker lights similar to the US ones slapped or drilled on. If you look close those are not US side marker lights but look like reflectors, as for the license holes the could have ben added for a US registered car?

Photos and poor description made $22k an expensive shot in the dark for me. Maybe I am just too conservative!

By chance i met the former owner and creator of this car. Very, very nice italian gentleman, who has spent his whole life in the bodywork game. He bought this as a 16000mile car and, being his car for once, created this. Each to his own, but it was his car and like it or not the execution was probably very good. Then Sandy came and put a yard of water through his garage and insurance took it away.

He was surprised to hear it come for sale again.

Anyway, super nice man with a topolino and an as new Maser Biturbo cabrio (also for sale if anyone is interested).

I got a few parts left over from the Gt4.

Funny I would never use the phrase "bring your own mechanic" in my ad for a car I was trying to sell. Hardly a warm totty of reassurance.

Hey guys, JUST signed up as a new member and purchased the F355 black on tan from Lombardo and will be flying out there to look at it this weekend and will get a better look at this Dino they also have listed and see what's up with it. Price seems to be good all things considered. Anything anyone want me to look for specifically on this thing?

1975 Dino Ferrari 308gt4 for sale

1975 Dino Ferrari 308gt4 odometer: 50375 VIN: 10094 manual transmission

Dino Ferrari in process of restoration. Your choice, you finish as a project car or let me finish it for you.
I have owned the car for 14 years. It is a strong car. New 9k Gregio metallica paint job, rebuilt engine and transmission with 12 k miles. Interior is good, was thinking to freshen up leather with professionally done black dye. PZeros. $32k for finished car or let's talk about you finishing. I would consider a trade.

    Thanks,
