These models are in 1/8th scale. 315 S Pictures built up models 1/43 modèles super détaillée Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is the Ferrari 641 I buitl some years ago for an article in the magazine and then sold to a collector. 300 hours of hard work. http://www.modelersite.com/imagenesContent/80/20_20121227_122949IMG12801024.jpg http://www.modelersite.com/en/80/superdetailing-the-tamiya-ferrari-641-1-12-scale-revised-with-new-pictures
Hi Tom, yes I know this companies and mostly I have the kits unbuild or build at home. I love the apm kits but they do only very view of them. I did build a 250 GT Breadvan what turned out to be my favorit model after the building process. As you said there are a lot of them in poor quality but still you can make propper models out of them if you take a lot of afford building them. Up to this date I have build about 20 models but would like to build more especially old Ferrari F1 Models in 1:18 like surtees 156. Here are pix of the 250 GT Breadvan (APM kit I did build) hope you like it
I saw this on Patrick's facebook page, some great looking work there Do you know if he does his own casting, or outsources it?
You would have to ask him that. New Aoshima Mclaren GTR 97 1/24th full detail kit test shot: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Now for some really strange stuff....WESPE Models from Romania are making kits and built Bugatti T51, T57SC, Alfa 2500, Auburn and other car kits in 1/8th scale. Very expensive kits that look BIG but simple. Here is a link to their website: SCALE 1:8 - Alfa Romeo 6C 2500SS Pininfarina Spider 1938 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
One more for today...The "NEW" Carrera 1/24th scale Ferrari 512S Berlinetta slotcar. It is pretty good but the wheels are not 100% correct and the nose is to long. The tires are nicer than most plastic kit tires(on a slot car???). Still better than the Heller body. No one else has ever done the 512S Berlinetta short tail in 1/24th other than the old Heller(and repops of that kit by other companies). I want to use it to make either the Sebring 1970 winner or the Surtees SEFAC 1970 Monza car. Both will require modification to the nose anyway as Ferrari was adding metal to the bottom to try and stop the car from lifting at speed. This is the early unmolested Daytona nosed car. Fisher also made the 512S curbside along with the Hiro full detail 1/24th scale kits, but only in spider and long tail versions. No short tail Berlinetta!! The Fisher body looks more like the car than the Hiro did before they pulled it out of production.
The easiest fix is probably grafting Fishers nose onto the Carrera. At one point I would like to do a nice 512S shorttail and my plan would be to combine the Heller with the Fisher. I was more interested in the #16 LM car which uses the same type of rear bonnet as the longtail (no extended side air extractors by the rear window). As for the Carrera, the number font is incorrect on the rear bonnett. I don't have a great pic of it but in the pic I added you can see the #8 is more open. The #2 is different also. The door/nose #8 is more closed, thicker looking. http://www.islandcollectibles.net/Ferraripics/F512/512sn28c.jpg

Another 1/12th scale model from CMM, the Mercedes 300SLR Mille Miglia. These are very simple models that with alot of work could be made into a nice model. Scratch building experience is needed. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A Belgian company, Domino, started producing plastic model kits. They focus mainly on rally cars and did a Peugeot 207 S2000, a Ford Fiesta WRC and recently a Skoda Fabia S2000. http://www.domino.be/getPic.php?foto=BEL004.jpg It's quite a nice model with a lot of détails (different seats for driver and co-driver).
I think the company that produces those models is Belkits. Domino is just some dealer that sells them along with other items and is listed as one of Belkits distributors on there webpage. You can see belkits at Belkits.be / Belkits.com manufacturer of fine plastic model kits.
Brand new model from CMM: 1/12 Ferrari F1 156 from 1985. ...and the best part is, I just bought the kit. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ed's right, and the Belkits look impressive, they are entirely digitally designed, and injection molded kits, WRC and rally car are their main interest, some small decal makers have started to develop alternative team sets for their kits too
Jelly. One of my all time favorites. You're going to want a copy of the Joe Honda book and / or the Motorsport in Detail CD. Don't pay too much for the book - there are some ridiculous prices being asked on Ebay. HLJ have both items in stock.
Ok. Thanks to CMM and others the eighties become my best covered decade. So far I got in 1/12: T5 C1 C2 C3 C4 156 86 87
Damn I loved that year/car and I will always be a big fan of Michele. I am digging that BMW M3 DTM as well.
That could take a while as I build 1 - 2 cars per year only. Here is one I finished a year ago: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/collectables-literature-models/391459-1-12-f1-ferrari-126-c2.html Right now I'm working on a T3 and last year's car with YOUR favorite driver.
Domino is in fact one of the biggest Belgian modelshops. A while ago, they created their own model kits which they sell Under the Belkits label. Belkits is sold via Domino but off course also via different other shops/ Sorry for the mixup! The quality of their kits however is really superb.
Thanks, great model..i also have it but it´s unbuilt...i have a bunch of 1/12 kits..641,312 t, t4, 126 c2 but only one built...the 312b...and not by me...i never really tried to...and i would not dare to start with these 1/12s....You really have great skills, the cars is amazing.....as for the 2012, why bother...the car was crap..and the driver was even worst!!!
