Hi, can somebody do me a huge favor -- if you're good with Photoshop could you photoshop different versions of tint on this car's headlights?

So something like 1/3 black, 50% black, maybe 75% black tint?

    Thank you...

I don't know anything about Photoshop, but your idea of tinting the headlight covers caught my attention. So, since I had a can of black spray paint on hand, I went ahead and did my 360 Modena.

It was easy. You just fog on as much black paint as you want and stop when you get the desired percentage of tint.

I think it looks pretty good, but next time I might use some masking tape to make a neater job of it. Nevertheless, for my first attempt, I'm quite pleased. In any case, this should give you a good idea of how your car will look should you go ahead and take the plunge like I did. Photoshop is OK I guess, but there's nothing quite like seeing the real thing.

    What do you think?

I think that is hilarious and it's also sad that you have to put a front plate on the car in Italy...

My idea of tint was a temporary 'hold over' solution until I figure out what to do with the annoying fogging in the lights. It would be a film applied on the outside and completely reversible.

I did find a guy in the UK who's willing to take apart and polish the lights on the inside for 350 UKP (both) but I'd have to ship them from the US and back and I don't know if I'm comfortable with that. Haven't found anybody local who'd do them for reasonable $.

I used to work for Victoria's Secret, so if you want, I can Photochop an entirely different and various types of headlights on your car.

(I know -- boo...but while I didn't really work for VS, I did work for a company a very long time ago where Photoshop was really abused. I got very good at creating things that never existed in reality.)

Very nice -- is this yours and if yes can you elaborate on what was done to the car, is it a film overlay? I know some people spray tint/paint the lights that's not what I'm looking for...

    Thanks.

No need, just take some 60-grit sandpaper to it & that'll come right off.

Now you're playing me for a fool. I know all about scratches.

Rather than follow your ill advised scheme, I got out my masking tape and touched up the over-spray with a can of red paint I had on hand.

I also touched up a few stone dings while I was at it. Now, I'm really proud.

I'm in contact with the moderators about writing a sticky for those who want follow my procedure for tinting their headlights.

Looks great; but no matter what you do it won't make up for the hideous front plate :)

You can get film for this but make sure it is legal, some countries dont allow the front lights to be tinted as they have to emit so much light to be legal.

Also I could do the photoshop for you but the quality of the image is really poor
