So, paranoia reigns supreme at Ferrari.

I don't know why so many drivers say that driving for Ferrari is their ultimate dream.

For many it turns into a nightmare.

Because if you win with them, you'll be remembered always, and as far as using the connection to Ferrari after you retire..... priceless. Who won the baseball championship two years ago? Exactly, I don't rember either. But when the Yankees win, everyone remembers.

Hummm, I am not so sure.

Just like in the old days of the Commendatore, if you win on a Ferrari you are a hero, but if you have a bad car you are zero. Alonso has been warned!

When has this ever not been the case. The old man was very strong-armed in dealing with drivers as mouthpieces for the team.

Luca Di M is simply staying with the controlling, arrogant, political environment that has always existed in Maranello.

I agree. I heard that even today if Jody Schecter goes into a busy resturant in Maranello, the owner will always find him a table and he never has to pay the bill!

So, Alonso should accept this censorship, on the off chance of a free meal when he goes through Maranello after retirement?

    Are you serious?

I can see this as a Corporate control issue. I can also see this as a very restrictive imposition when the FIA and Bernie want F1 to be in touch with the fans. The next question is why on earth Kimi wants to be in that cauldron again lol! I know its Ferrari and he likes to get paid and win.

Seems a bit ridiculous. What next monitor his phone calls??

I suspect Ross' role in Bernie's F1 is as a team fixer. His next stop is Williams IMO. Imagine if Newey joined him there.

If you follow a sport, you know the champions. If you're bored by a sport or don't follow it at all, you forget about it.

When Ferrari returns to its winning ways, some of its dictatorial heavy handedness might be tolerated by the fans. History is written by the winners.

Just imagine: Vettel and Alonso switching places for 2015 and Newey leaving for Williams...Then Vettel winning a WDC by chance in the Ferrari (like Raikkonen did) because Newey needs 2-3 years making the Williams work, that would be the joke of the century...

+1 if Ferrari do not provide him a winning car next year and his relationship with LdM continues to be somewhat negative and publicly so. DC thinks Mclaren are actively pursuing FA. Im sure there is alot going on we dont know with this situation.

Alonso is an employee. If your employee keeps spouting on how bad the product is, badmouthing other employees...how long are you going to keep accepting this as the boss? Especially when your employee has millions of followers in a VERY public business....

Or...If the car IS a winning car, but Raikkonen beats him. But if that's the case I doubt Alonso will stay on that long and will play his usual tricks (blackmail, blocking the other car, sharing secrets...).

To be fair likening him to an employee is a bit simplistic.
Even the Scuderia has called him a partner.
Does Ferrari even sign his checks?

I don't think that Luca is pizzed because Alonso is telling lies. Quite the contrary. He's mad because Alonso's going public with what everyone has known for a while. Whether its out of sheer frustration or because he sees that keeping it in house has yielded no results doesn't matter
If he were the type of driver whose passions weren't stirred he wouldn't be the competitor that he is.

After Kimi places ahead of him for the first 3 races he may just quit.

Agree to a point,... but Schumacher never badmouthed the team the way FA does.

When considering the amount of bytes the Alonso fans spend claiming Vettel can only win in a dominant car... I think it is fair to ask: If Alonso is that great,... how is it possible that with a team with arguably the deepest pockets in the sport,... that Alonso has not won at least 1 WDC with Ferrari? It is not unreasonable to question whether Alonso can win in anything but the best car on the grid.

From 96 on the cars, and the results were improving steadily. Not quite the same story as the Alonso years.
