And that's why I hate FG kickers.

Prepare for the least deserving matchup in the BCS championship. FSU-OSU. I want both teams to lose.

If anyone said at the start of the season an Auburn-Mizzou (not official yet) SEC CCG, no one would have believed it.

Unlikely Auburn makes its to the big game unless Duke beats FSU (lol) or OSU loses, which is also doubtful. Won't be watching bowl season this year...

Alabama-Auburn...God, what a finish. I didn't think I'd ever see a finish so surprising, certainly not by the same team just a week later. Auburn seems to have a fleet of Angels on their shoulders, so Missouri better be at least nine points up with three seconds left to be sure they'll win next week. Last week, I felt badly for Georgia. This week, not being a fan of either team, I just laughed. Who'd have thunk it?

I'm not a fan of rematches, especially with Bama-LSU rematch proving how terrible that was. In this case, I think it would be great. :)

Ha, I won't be watching those Bond bluray movies at all actually. Bought it as a gift for someone else. :) Although it was tempting getting another set for myself...just don't have the time with work coming up next month.

Both teams prove a weak schedule allows one to go undefeated and get to the MNC game when better teams that play harder schedules (Alabama, TAMU, LSU, Auburn) kill one another and are left out.

OSU and FSU still suck. Enjoy having a rapist as your QB.

I thought Saban should have kicked the FG when it was fourth and 1 when they were deep in Auburn's territory. they did not make a first down. that 3 points would have won Bama the game as they would have been 3 pts ahead at the end instead of tied.

It's prolly because his placekicker bricked multiple kicks earlier in the game. Happy to see bama lose, time for new blood to take the nc.

Well both Sagarin and ESPN power rankings have FSU as 1. I thought we might have a little more adult discussion besides I suck, you suck, and then red herring insults, but I guess not.

Rankings are subjective...always have been. Just like in 2006 when people cried Michigan didn't get to play OSU again and Florida exposed the crap out of OSU. No one would have had any idea what OSU was really like had they replayed Michigan (just like what will happen this year with an FSU-OSU matchup).

Both FSU and OSU's best wins (if they do win) will be against Duke and Michigan State, respectively. Both are basketball schools and are pretty poor programs to put on your resume as a good win. Both conferences have been terrible in BCS games with the ACC being the worst at 3-13 IIRC among the big 5 BCS confences. The SEC is the only BCS conference with a winning record in BCS championship games with only 1 loss in the big game, which happened to be LSU's loss to another SEC team...not even another conference was responsible for the lone BCS championship loss.

Not really an arguement. More like venting how this system rewards weak teams like FSU and OSU to play for a championship while another conference that actually has depth and a proven track record at the national level gets shutout since they have to play one another in the regular season.

And my dislike to FSU goes more than just the football program. It's the entire "university" (I don't consider it an actual place for education) I have issue with and makes Florida's public education system look worse than it should be. At least Miami is a private school with a good educational system and doesn't use up public funds like FSU's school does.

Almost everyone will cry and whine like little children because 'their' team is not number one, or whatever.
You can cry all you want about some other conference getting shut out because they all play each other, TOO BAD, those teams choose to play in that conference, they could leave and go elsewhere, they don't, oh well, it is what it is.

If you guys had your way you would have the winner of the SEC play in the BCS title game every year - deserving or not. Problem is you don't have the vision to realize there are 110 other teams that may deserve to be there. Your bias is showing.

There are 120 teams in D-1 football, and you can't find a decent game or two to watch?
    That's YOUR problem.

wah wah wah wah, so 'your' team won't be in 'the' BCS game this year,
that's just too bad, I feel awful for you (NOT).

And as far as your 'rapist' comment, that shows your lack of maturity.
I almost feel sorry for you, but not quite.

So who is my favorite team?
    Who do I root for?

I watch a TON of football, and I don't have a favorite team, because I
am a FOOTBALL FAN, not a team fan, I don't really care who wins, I just
like to see good games, that's all. Most of you are not like that, and that's FINE.

FSU is the first college team to have an issue with a player and off the field issues? That's never happened at UF, Miami, LSU, etc?
As for the schedule strength, is the ACC as heavy as the SEC? Nope, but nobody is. But the schedule isn't going to look tough when some of the big name teams are having off years. Clemson normally plays well, as does UF and Miami. And some of the other teams have bad good years. The fact that UF held them under 30 points says a lot, and they played the first quarter like the gators I remember. But it's not the SEC national championship. So yeah, it may seem unfair, but 0 loss teams rank above teams that lose 1. Even if they are the best.
Next year should be better, and I think Ohio State has always been overrated. But FSU has played awesome this year. Auburn has really stepped it up, and 'Bama has been playing like they always do.
Anyway you look at it, some awesome games this weekend.

    empty

I don't know anyone from GNV who went to the game...even the ones with season tickets.

you could see that in the number of FSU jerseys in the stands!

The stands looked empty... Which is bad. That's always a huge rivalry no matter which team is on top.
