How do people react to your ferrari II

The other day I got to drive a red/tan 430 spider with a group of exotics to a car show. I'm 17 (don't own the 430.. one day though) and the looks I got were pretty hilarious. We passed a car full of teenagers and their heads followed from the time we got on the highway until we had passed. Didn't get any negative looks!

Also had a Ducati fly by doing a wheelie.. need to upload a photo of that haha

 

i get a lot of this. I look in my rearview mirror at a light and the person behind me is taking a picture with their phone... that seems to be the most common i see

 

Yesterday I was on my way to pick up some fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin to repair my under tray, materials available everywhere in the U.S. but frustratingly hard to find here in Italy. The last 3km of steep, winding, up-hill, two-way-traffic road was too narrow for two cars and in places not much wider than my 360 Modena. I was wondering how this would work out if anyone was coming down the hill when I rounded a curve and spotted the first oncoming car.

To my relief, the female driver immediately darted into a driveway and paused to give me room to pass. I met a total of 5 more cars, all of which squeezed themselves into some sort of refuge to give me room to proceed without having to stop and start on the steep hill.

The turn-around area at the destination was very small and blind to traffic on the road, but three employees came out to potentially block any oncoming cars and direct me so that I could back up and turn around without touching anything.

On the way down the very narrow road, I met another three cars, all of which pulled over to let me pass. Several drivers gave me the thumbs up; very Italian.

I felt like the Shah of Iran or J.Z. or Hillery Clinton, or something like that; perhaps Silvio Berlusconi ............ yeah, that's it.

 

I made a left hand turn, and a truck behind me turns left as well. At the next light the driver of the truck pulled up to me and says, "I only turned left to see your car."

 

I've gotten nothing but positive comments even though most don't recognize it as a Ferrari.

 

Because it isn't!

Just returning the tweak.

I put on the new wheels just before I left it at the shop. I'm not sure if the look is better but it runs much quiter on the new tires.

After they reach a certain age, interesting cars are supposed to have some level of "patina". But I think this is going too far.

Hey, Jerry Ford played college ball without one.

 

Today I went to the condo. when I came out a man was looking at the car. Said how beautiful it is. showed him the engine and some of the aero stuff. "A masterpeice of engineering," he said.

When I went to the gas station, a man came over riding a bike and asked if I minded if he took a picture of the car. He took several. asked lots of questions. I showed him the engine. He was very appreciative of me taking the time.

this is not unusual.

Life is good.
