I just came across this picture a friend and I took in 1989 when we were 14 years old. Sorry for the very bad quaity, but sure it is a vintage pic! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just looked photo from my engine number, yes... it still is same as chassi number. Engine number is really hard to see, photo is only way: http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u84/unknow82/Ct/moottorinumero_zps2ca53a12.jpg Heads have numbers like: Cast date 28-4-82 But also casting companys name "Teksid 1" Was all Lamborghini casted engine parts made by Teksid, did Lamborghini have own foundry?
Yes it was! It was taken in his huge garage that was in a small street not very far from his tiny showroom.
haven't seen this posted (hopefully not a report), but I've been enjoying the series of videos by these guys (petrolicious), this one with Countach owner James Chen Lamborghini Countach - When Outrageous Was Possible - YouTube [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyt1ETVtwDI&feature=share&list=PL01DAB8841968B830[/ame]
In the UK we have a magazine called "Classic & Sports Car" and this month (Dec 2013 edition) there is a very nice eight page article on driving Ferruccio's white 4 litre S. Not had the chance to read it yet and I guess most of you will not learn anything new from it but you can't argue it's a great feature to cover! The car looks epic in the photos (which the magazine has a habit of over processing sadly) it has to be said and they also talk with Fabio Lamborghini, Ferruccio's nephew. Worth picking up a copy if you can. Thanks
You are right, the photos in the article ruined it and the amateurish over use of photoshop sucked the reality out of the detail and did Classic and Sportscar, the photographer, the article and good taste no favours. Not to mention the Countach which should have been the star of the visuals. But perhaps more importantly, this childish treatment is an affront to the readers. stephen

Sharing many opinions & philosophy with its current owner - fellow -, I'm imagining his "huge stress" while the journalist drove it...

Great video and that Countach looks perfect. It will always be my dream car. I can't imagine what it would be like to drive or even ride in one.
