I respect your opinion but face the fact, people enjoy this boring design, Aventador is bestseller

I didn't say the Aventador is boring. I said this G replacement is.

It doesn't seem to have the "gee whiz" factor that will get trendy 458 or Gallardo owners to run to trade their rides. In a way Lamborghini has a built in design problem. They can:
    1. Continue to evolve their basic form, which is what they have done
    2. Go yet more extreme in the cubist direction
    3. Go to a different, more rounded form

    What would you do?

I am going by what the web says. Many articles predict a 600 hp v10 and 0-60 of 3.2. Tell me how that outperforms the 458?

I personally think the replacement is not bad looking. I dont think its as pretty as the aventador but its not bad.

Lamborghini just this past week said that they will be releasing "some" specs before Christmas. We'll soon find out.

My bet is with 300+lbs weight savings + 600hp (5.4L ?) + new DCT it will be very close to 3.0 - New lower stance and more rigid (hybrid cf composite / aluminum chassis) should also yield some handling improvement.

I have that video to look at. If it doesn't look interesting there, it isn't going to look interesting later.

What defines a car is it's silhouette, not the small details. Great details on a Pinto would not improve the interest level of a Pinto.

I said it's the most boring looking Lambo ever. Nothing here tells me otherwise. In fact, not only is it boring, it looks fat.

No, it isn't. It's a strange, warped, chunky, detuned derivation of an Aventador.

Every Lambo since the Countach has been another Countach in one form or another. This is the most boring version of the bunch.

I like the Aventador. There's some boldness there. I see no boldness in this design. I see someone going through the motions.

Sad to see Lambo go down the 'derivative' approach to car design. Looks like a Gallardo had a one night stand with an Aventador - and this was the runt of the litter. Hopefully we are all jumping to conclusions based on imprecise renderings, but if not, it's a seriously boring rehash.

Looks like they will slowly release episodes of their venture to Italy and than reveal the replacement.

So in other words, you don't know anything about the car.

A tenth of a second faster or slower 0-60 time isn't a very good argument weather or not a car "outperforms" another one.
And if the 600hp rumours are correct, why can't that be enough to be faster than the 570 hp 458?

If I may take the GTR as an example again, the new Nismo has 600hp and it destroys pretty much every single production car out there, including the mighty 458.
So why can't the new Lambo, which will most certainly weigh a lot less than the GTR do the same?

Here is my arguement. These cars like the 911 turbos put down great 0-60 times and quarter mile times because of all wheel drive. The nismo weighs a ton and Probably puts down the same to the wheels if not less than a 458. So how would from a highway race it beat a 458? The replacement for the Gallardo can have 600 hp but its all wheel drive losing more to the wheels. So yes they could have equal wheel horsepower but their times are going to be similar. I am not going not say the replacement wont beat the 458, i am saying that stats predicted so far for the car do not outshine the 458 at all.
