Wow...that is....um....a very "interesting" dash. ;)
1120202, the bugatti blue car in rosso bianco museum had only the steering wheel. http://www.lambocars.com/images/countach/1/wolf2ndi.html Also these strange mirrors, as shown on my homepage: http://www.countach.ch/History/LP400/index.html as Joe stated it must be 1121002, but not with wolf, since the Mainz based owner was a later owner as far as I know. Interesting that there are hardly any pictures around showing details of 1121002 whereas you can find plenty of the former two LP400 versions.
Beautiful car, and it's a down draft too !!!!! The sound of those Weber carbs. a few inches from your head must be incredible.
looking good.. I wonder why more 25th DD are not imported in the USA. We are at the 25 years mark. Yeah they are gonna be a lot more expensive than a US version but they are rare as hen teeth here and the only way to get one is to import.
The sound at high rpm is just crazy. Love this car and it's not bad as reviews I've heard about. The car to me was easy stuck in traffic no problem, only draw back is when you reverse so I don't suggest parking in a tight parking spot.
It will be very interesting to watch if the market in the U.S changes for an Anniversario DD car. I'm not sure how many DD QV cars have been imported given they have been admissible for some time. I know many people have asked about mine but when I tell them to make an offer, I don't hear back... Which is fine. Ultimately a car like A DD Anniversario will go to the Middle East/ Asia or even back to Europe before a US buyer pays the same amount...
25th anniversario is the most beautiful Countach in my eyes. I like the other variants, what attracted me to it is that the car has better cooling and the wheels are a nice touch compared to the rest of the countach's.
That is my understading. Maybe that goes to Joe's point in another thread: less than a handfull of people in the US seem willing to pay any prices for special cars, the rest is mostly chatter. Peter's car is not reflective of the general market IMO because he has got the 1st or at worst the 2nd S1. If someone wants one of the 3 first, the choice is between 3 cars. That may also indicates the countach, despite a rising price is not yet universally accepted by collectors. I can understand that pre 25th DD not being imported because for the end price, you can get one of the 50 or so DD QV cars in the US. But if you want a DD 25th, you have the choice of may be 1 or import.
Getting a little boring in the Countach section these days! Let's go back down memory lane: Here is a Helmut Newton classic photo from the Pirelli calendar of 1986 Image Unavailable, Please Login

Totally agree! Looks great! But I do wish it was a better shot of the engine. That one doesn't do it justice.
