No. The 458 itself isn't the best looking Fcar by a long shot. The eSpecial made it worse unfortunately.
You're right but it was meant as a comment on Lamborghini's marketing strategy, rather than a slur on the subjects in the video.
I think you'd find 90% to disagree. The 458 has been repeatedly considered one of the sexiest F cars produced to date. Not thee sexiest. But definitely top 3 i.m.o.
Fortunately I am not concerned with what the 90% think, I purchase for myself. I find the design to be confusing and with certain options, very "rice" looking, esp in SoCal with the roof wraps and black wheels and gaudy interiors. No offense, but the VividRacing ad on this header with the red 458 is a great example of what doesn't look well designed. But I am also likely in the 10% who thinks the 360 is one of the best looking modern Fcars made.
Agree with you on this point, the 458 is the only Ferrari I have lusted for after the 355. I think the 458 is beautiful and aggressive, first beautiful Ferrari since 1999 to me.
You just watched the most annoying car marketing video of all time. I'd rather hear Richard Montalban say "fine corrinthian leather" one million times than watch that again.
Not that it would have saved the ad in any way, but was the swearing really necessary? When they're in the cab the guy says "Then we are f*cked". If I heard swearing like that in an ad for Ferrari or Porsche I'd be hugely disappointed.
Who cares about a highway race? That is not the definition of performance. Besides, you'd probably have to go 120mph before you saw the 458 start to pull ahead. In other words, all you need is the great performance of AWD because the RWD power-loss advantage only comes into play at speeds you'll probably rarely reach.
On good tarmac the 458 had a similar launch to the 4WD Gallardo Superleggera. I am willing to bet that the Speciale annihilates the new Lambo. Sent from my MT27i using Tapatalk 2
first I would define precisely the term "annihilates". In your logic "annihilates" the Speciale also the 458 Italia. Bold statement!
In performance terms it sure does. That was its mission statement anyway. A faster, more raw and exciting Italia.
From what the web predicts the car is not even going to put down better number than the 458 with all wheel drive. So how is this car going to outperform it. Rear wheel is preferred on a track. If Lamborghini wanted to make a splash, they should have made a car that blew away cars like the 458 or mp12-4c. Instead they made a car that caught up at best and will be blown away by the replacements of both the 458 and mp12-4c. I hope when they release the car it is more impressive than what is predicted.
458 Italia is 560 hp, Cabrera will make 600 hp and more importantly, more torque(5.2 V10 vs 4.5 V8), while NOT weighing more than a standard 458.
