Neil...the 'content' man - gurls and cars! GREAT photos, thanks for sharing! Have a look at the Porsche section in the 'Porsche picture thread' there are some awesome Porsche only photos of the same. Awesome stuff.

 

Thought this would be a boring thread. Picture are amazing! Love the VW Vans converted to transporters.

With exception of a few strings of the bikini thread, this thread could take the prize for the most breathtaking photographs I've ever seen.

Thirty years ago, thanks to a change in the MOT laws, the Donington Collection had to sell their old transporter, and I ended up with it. Part of the deal was that I had to paint their name over, but I could leave their design on the rolling cargo door, principally because it was just too darned hard to shift. I used it for Formula Ford racing for a couple of years before selling it on to Manadient, a team that went on to run Damon Hill in FF 1600.

Here are some shots of it at Silverstone. You can also see the FF1600 before, and after, I had been introduced to the Dunlop Bridge during a race. Also enclosed are two pictures of another bridge – one I wasn’t sure we could make it through.

It was 6 and a half tons of Bristol bus, with no power steering, but it was wonderful to drive.
