Probably been asked before, but do you give a special name to your cars? I have a tendency to do it. My 308GTB is called Li'l red, my Mondial was named Sera, and now I think the TR will be called ''Big Yell Oh!''

    Let's know yours!

    Same here.

Most of mine are already labeled... no sense (to me) renaming anything. :)

My first car (hand-me down from Mom): Peugeot 106 named "Angel"
(ironically, totalled when I was hit by a drunk driver).
My second car: Skoda Favorit named "Cecil" (traded at dealer for next car).
My third car: Skoda Felicia named "Steve" (sold to a family friend).
My fourth car (first new): MINI ONE named "Zeus" (still own, 108k miles and still going).

Wife's car: SmartCar ForTwo named "Smartacus".

    All the best,
    Andrew.

My Granddaughter calls the 308 "her car". She calls the 250 the car she maybe wants. She says she will decide when she's 30.

cars (and racing) have become a family thing for us...my oldest daughter (she races karts), my wife (DE)....and at least my youngest tolerates it.

the kids name all our cars

1976 Porsche 930 race car (now sold) "Miss Frankenstein"
    GMC Yukon - "Lucy"
2012 458 - "Capricia" (when we traded her, the kids cried)
    2013 FF - "Contessa"
    2012 458C - "Carina"
2012 Fiat Abarth race car - "Francesca"
2007 Ford F350 - "the Beast" (now sold)
207 F430C - "Sophia" (awkward, as our niece has that name too)
2010 BMW X5M- "Helga" (now traded)
    2013 BMW X5M - "Fraulein"

My first car out of college was a red Mazda pickup that slowly oxidized over the years. Referred to by the end as "Old Pink"

Had a Jeep Liberty for a couple of years. Beemle (as in BML: Base Model Liberty)

Bought a junker gas mileage car in 2008, a '95 Honda Del Sol. The green color was sickening but exactly the color of a certain children's character, and my daughter still speaks fondly of Gumby even though it was thankfully put down three years ago.

They're like children... I don't understand how you could NOT name them!

    Sebring - Christina
Viper - Katara (from Avatar: the Last Airbender)
Volvo - just got it and haven't decided yet

It was a dark blue car and the license plate (not custom) just happened by pure chance to look like a personalised plate spelling out "Steve" - hence the name. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I never gave names to my cars, only to some of my bikes.

A vicious 750cc 2-stroke KAWASAKI H3 was called "BOA" because the frame twisted like a snake.

My GT550 KAWASAKI was just "The Chatanooga Choo Choo" because it could go on forever but pissed oil like a steam train.

It's sister GT75 KAWA was known as "Gunga Din" from the Kipling character, because she was a better bike than I ...

My 4-cyl BMW was just "The Panzer".

I never gave names to my Harleys though ...
