I am sure all Dino affection Atos would love to own one of these?? Kidston - 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale
Alfa Romeo Bulletin Board & Forums, very active group....probably get an opinion on the Porche there as well
Count me among its admirers! I've always thought that it was a brilliant car, perhaps Alfa's version of the Ferrari P4, on a less grand scale. Fred
Good GOD that is one of my favorite cars. Absolute Italian Beauty. Not a straight line on it. DEAD SEXY!!
I wonder what the price was. Kidston would not comment on it, as a privacy issue. Understandable. Just like me calling my daughter's school and being denied all access Regards, Alberto
I brokered one car much (!) north of Euro 3m! This photo shows the car when picked up by the new owner`s mechanic. ph.©: Walter Bäumer, 2013 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Made in the age before marketing departments insisted that people 6 feet 4 fit in them comfortably. How I wish they would think that way again.
The first time I saw one I was surprised how small and low they were. These cars were similar to the Bizzarrini in that they were race cars that were adapted to the street. I am curious if they all used magnesium frames? These cars were cutting edge during their day and very expensive.
The first time I saw one, I thought it wasn't possible to make something like this. Without question one of the high marks in the history of Alfa Romeo.
Hey! Some of us need that extra space. Amazing that in 1967 they were making 100 bhp/L in street trim.
This photo shows the car when picked up by the new owner`s mechanic. Has anyone else noticed that the poor mechanics head has turned into an anvil?
From the time that the word compromise wasn't in the dictionary yet. One of those cars that make you wonder how an inane object can be so emotional. The body doesn't have a bad angle to look at it from, a pure race-chassis and drivetrain, it is mindblowingly attractive. It wasn't without its' faults though, it was a bear keeping it in tune (or indeed running) and chassis/tank integration was prone to leak. How I wish though that they had made more, so I could afford one, perhaps more so than any other car... Best, Jack.
It looks like each car was a bit different, grills, lights interiors... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
They were all different in details, but your second photo depicts the prototype, which had 4 headlights, and the last picture is the Periscopa, not a 33 Stradale. (but just as good looking) Best, Jack.
