This series of pictures taken by Michael Ward show how Tahiti blue can look very different.... Lamborghini Urraco | Flickr - Photo Sharing!
Yeah, even looks red later on in the slide show :/ I have to agree that is dark, sweet...pretty..no greenish highlights but still very deep (dark).
If it lights up outside but goes deep inside I am definitely going this color when mine gets ready for paint! That will rock.
Can't wait to see it completed. I prefer the original livery myself. ....and not because mine is red. I know someone is going to say something to my comment. =P
There are always going to be comments I think on colour as it is so subjective and everyone has different tastes. Just wanted something a little more subtle.
This image with slightly different lighting shows the change in colour. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Never trust the lighting. The photos of this car taped up right after paint looks very similar to my car.
For comparison, it's all in the lighting: The 1st one and last one could be 2 different cars. Disassembly begins on another bare metal re-spray Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Michael, you should start your own bare metal respray thread. I think we would all love to follow it, we die for this ****!
There was quite a bit of paint on it from new. My understanding is that this Countach (#12662) was originally finished in red and changed to Bianco Pearlato (evidently the first Countach finished by the factory in this color) for the Paris Auto Salon in 1983. I have the original sales contract from Lamborghini to Emilianauto to support this. I decided to start over from bare metal to ensure that the modern (original color) paint would have a stable surface to adhere to. I have two Countachs..and the Rosso Sveglia car will be getting the same treatment shortly.
