360 Service Check "Price Check"

If you mean the annual service that involves engine oil and filter change, brake fluid change, checking all other fluids and the air and pollen filters, -- then around $900 - $1000. Semi annual is more because that involves gearbox service, coolant change as well as the annual items.

Of course, it's much less if you do it yourself. Anyone with a floor jack, some jack stands, and an ordinary home mechanic tool box can do this job without difficulty. In fact, just about everything you need to know is right here on this forum except perhaps for, "Righty-tighty; Lefty-loosey".

Do it yourself and you'll not only bond with your Ferrari you will know it's done right. Paying for a fluid change but getting only a fluid check is sadly more common that one would wish.

UK, an annual is between £450 and £600 depending on where you go.

 

This is what FNE (Ferrari New England) quoted me a while back...

-Engine oil/filter service $499
-Brake Fluid Flush $241
-Coolant Flush $345
-Power Steering Flush $177
-Gear Box/Differential Service $560
-Cabin air/pollen filter $145
-Engine air filter $145 (as needed)
-4 wheel alignment $396

 

$1,500 is what my dealer charged me first time. $700 is what my new shop charges me.

 

Those FNE prices should set the upper limit for service charges. Many are less than that.

 

I recently had a service without cam belts (done when I bought the car) and also the inlet manifold gasket, and new rear pads. $1200 NZ. I thought it was cheap, and less than my Nissan STX deisel. Go figure

A sort of related question...

Many of us can do the fluids...and we like to, because we know they're done correctly...and it's not too difficult..and it may be even satisfying.

What would you think...if you were a potential buyer...and the seller said he'd done all the fluid work himself. No service receipts from a garage...just the fluid purchases. Would you shy away?

 

Nope, but I do my own fluids. I suspect people who don't know how to do these simple tasks might put a much higher value on all servicing being done by a dealer. I know for a fact that some dealers (sometimes at least) don't correctly perform fluid changes, so a great looking dealer service record means less to me than some folks.

I keep detailed log books for my cars listing most everything I do more significant than washing and that includes waxing along with the type of wax. I have a section for any car related items I've purchased including when, where, and price.

Personally, I would put more value on a detailed owner log book than a dealer's note in a factory supplied service book saying "Performed 30,000km service", but that's just me. Other folks, especially those who take their car to the dealership to have the tire pressure checked, will have a different opinion.

I'm certainly not going to change 50 years of car maintenance philosophy at this late date just because it "might" have an influence on some potential future purchaser.
