Yea, that's weird...27-27 sounds like a 3 rounder. Did they only score 3 rounds?

    I doubt it, but strange.

On a sad note, Shane Del Rosario passed away at age 30. RIP.

Yes, very sad news indeed. Far too young.......

I read that 2 of the judges gave Hunt a 10 - 8 score for the 5th round, which is how those 2 judges had them at a draw.

I thought this is what he was going to do. I don't know why, he just seemed mentally exhausted. I hope the time away does him some good and we get to see him fight in the UFC again in the future.

PS. I hope Lawler enjoys his beating from Hendricks! :D

I am not surprised. Personally, I don't think we'll see him come back. He has nothing left to prove, and he went out on top - what more can an athlete want?

WW division will get interesting now. I don't think Lawler is deserving of the shot, but it will be an exciting fight. It should have been Condit against Hendricks......

Agree. Not many athletes exit on top. It's usually not in them to walk away from competition.. I feel it was a smart move.

Hope not. I like it when champs go out on top. Why should they lose a few times to realize it's time.
Great UFC card tonight. Faber was AWESOME! Tip my hat to Johnson. HUGE win for him.

My DVR crapped out on me due to a snow storm. Anyone know if they'll be replaying the Johnson/Benavidez main card?

Finally got to see the Benavidez/Johnson card - wow, amazing card overall. Faber looked as good as ever, which I was happy to see. And Mighty Mouse? Holy crap, the guy is incredible. I would even venture to say that he can be the most dominant Champ in the UFC if he keeps fighting the way that he does.

Silva/Weidman II this weekend. What do you think, guys, is Weidman retaining the title?

Silva!!!!! I'm afraid Weidman will try to take it to the ground early though. If so, it'll be a bad night for Silva.

I'm thinking Silva, but I put money on Weidman. I put a bunch of money down on this card, mostly on underdogs. If Tate somehow pulls off the upset, I'll cover all my bets and then some.

This was my worst night for picking fights. Not ONE of the fights went my way (how I wanted them to).
Gut wrenching end to Silva's reign.... Sad.

I picked Weidman for the win but I did not expect it to be won that way. It is sad to see Silva's career end on such a sad note.

It might be the best way for Silva to go out though. Go figure... I think he has like 8+ more fights left on his contract. Lets say if he lost in a more normal way, he'd have to honor his side of the deal and fight a lot more. This way, He really didn't get KO'ed or beaten up bad. He went out with a huge injury and might not EVER BE ABLE to ever return. This will cement his legacy more than if he lost.

Stupid way of looking at it, but it works for me.
...and he was getting his a** kicked.

Misha's game plan was so stupid! She was doing well on stand up and she goes to take RR down over and over! WTF was up with that.

Shocked about the Barnett fight. Browne is for real!

After all bets were accounted for, I came out ahead a whopping $39.00!

As for Silva, early reports are his surgery last night was a complete success and his recovery will be 3-6 months. A rod was put in to stabilize the tibia, but the fibula was set without a rod and won't need additional work.

However, a family surgeon told me he's done fighting with the rod that was put in his leg. He may be able to fight if the rod is later removed, but with the power he develops with his kicks, he'd be VERY likely to break his leg immediately above the rod unless he drastically changes his style.

Good G*d, that was painful to watch! Right up there with Cro-Cop's leg twisting when Gonzaga KO'd him. Silva was looking to be just ramping up when that occurred. Typical for him of feeling out his opponent over the 1st round, and then getting to work in the 2nd. Would have loved to see how it would have unfolded.

Being a bit of a freak occurrence, do you guys believe that it still leaves doubt in Weidman's wins over Silva?

^^^Kinda Maybe, But Weidman I felt was winning this fight. A.S. really did NOTHING. I feel both fights were perfect scenarios for the way "The Best MMA Fighter In History" went out. Just my opinion...

Weidman was winning, and winning handily. Silva was lucky to make it out of the first round. I don't think winning this way takes anything away from Weidman. He looked like the better man.

    Weidman is the champ.
