Couple weeks ago I passed my checkride and now am a pilot. It has been a lot of fun flying since then and my dad was even my first passenger!

Congrats....I remember passing mine like it was 2 months ago......even though its been nearly 3....LOL. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, but are not quite as nervous every time you leave terra-ferma....I still think "am I really allowed to do this" :)

    Great to hear!

My teenage son was my first passenger. We went up on a calm CAVU day.

Try to keep in the habit of flying. Try to go up at least once every 2 weeks.
I noticed that my skills got real rusty with any extended layoff from flying.

+1, especially if and when you get into IFR flying. I can't take a month off from that and feel like I'm any good...and if you're not good at something related to flying, don't do it :)

    Congrats!

Thanks guys, yeah flying is TONS of fun. It is quite refreshing to see many Ferraristas here that are aviators as well. I've decided to keep up my training. Next on the agenda is a mountain flying checkout and then some PIC time before IFR training. It would be awesome if I was able to score a deal on a Ferrari, boat and plane in the same year.

Congrats. I'm going for my check ride soon. Hope I pass! Any tips for the oral exam? That scares me more than the flying part
