Jim Glickenhaus's Newest One-Off Car Will Be An Absolute Masterpiece Is their sketch at the top correct? It seems to have much different proportions to the ones that are posted in this thread.
Watch out Jim! That guy is trying to drill a hole in your head! SV What kind of instrumentation cluster inside. All digital or back to analog? Would like to see more 4C but with more capabilities and better phone integration just so you can get features thru apps...
We will be making entire unique CF chassis. Car won't be 4C Based. Instrumentation will be very cool and user friendly. Mini ipad navigation/apps etc.
Sweet! I like the flexibility... By the way the roof lime in the teaser looks very Elise like... Conventional doors or gull wing? SV

Paolo Garella! One of the best engineers. Is LM Gianetti involved with the project? Nice pictures! Thanks for sharing them. A great journey just begun!
Race easy exit butterfly. This is the LMP1 as a Two seat GT we're moving towards. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Did you consider an hybrid powertrain for this one at some point ? I don't remember. Will there be a significant difference in terms of proportions ( Length , width ) between SCG 0003(C) and P4/5C ? I'm still very intrigued by the LMP1 style features. Is it only about innovative styling or is there a will to add sort of LMP aerodynamics principles which could actually make a huge difference on the track ? Looking at the pictures it seems the build has actually started. At least for some components. I just can't wait to see what it looks like.
SCG 003 C will be smaller and lighter than P 4/5 C. The style will be VERY aero efficient. Our goal is 30 seconds a lap faster than our 2012 car at The 24. No hybrid component.
That's not our chassis. It's just being used to mock up the inner roof height. Ours will be a lot different and entirely CF including subframes.
P4/5C 2012 qualifying lap ( Top 40) was 8 mins 32 sec 582. The pole was set in 8 mins 18 sec 382 , BMW Z4. 2013 pole was 8 mins 17 sec , Audi R8 LMS. Withdraw 30 seconds from your best lap or average lap time means SCG 003 (C) is aiming to go to the top of the grid. Very hard Task knowing the strong opposition at the ring. I assume the rules regarding horsepower and the air restrictor will be a big factor here. But who knows ?
We shall see but in 2015 we will be running in the top class SPX with the big boys small privateer that we are.
As an aside 8 is GP+NS which would be about a 6:30 NS lap. 8 is the limit of the track (PP+NS) as per the FIA so cars wouldn't be allowed to run below that without modifying the track as per the FIA which is very unlikely.
Where are the difficulties with carbon subframes for street legal cars? Is it "just" a matter of cost?
CGT's have them. Simply cost. Keep in mind that we are building a one of one under "home built" rules not for sale so it's easier for us than for a manufacture or if we wanted to sell examples. Our road and race version will also be fully emission compliant. We're planning to make the same car convertible from a race car to a road legal car and back again if desired. We are talking to major manufacturers about a small series but if that happens this will become a completely different kettle of fish. This time we will build and design everything including the entire CF chassis and pushrod suspension and SCG 003 C won't be based on any existing car. We will also fully be developing our TTV6 and while it will be from an existing engine when we're done it will be very different than from how it started out. On this one we will be the manufacturer.
Is the same car this front and back view in the last pic? The front one looks like a 956 or Pagani shape; the back one seems shorter, more compact, as a 4c. A matter of angles and because of the blur I guess. Anyway, tons of hype around this project. Congratulations Mr. Glickenhaus!
This is the direction we're going in. SCG 003 C is NOT 4C based and has a longer WB. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow, looks nice, some cool details over there! Will it have an active rear spoiler? As far as I read it won't, but those lines... Love the way you recover this 60's flavour when you talk about it, waiting to see it fully undisguised (any closed data?).
