I'm not surprised by the comments about Ferrari's in LA. Interesting cliche's being tossed around here.

Confessions of a Parking Valet - What Valets Really Think of Your Shiny Car - Popular Mechanics

"Ferrari guys are the only ones who say, 'Why did you put my car in the back?'" says top valet Bruno at West Hollywood's Ink restaurant. "Always Ferrari owners are cautious and overprotective—they ask me for their car to be in front. Ferraris are a dime a dozen here."

However, Bruno adds that special models, such as the Enzos and F40s he has parked, do qualify as crowd-drawing exotics and usually get the front spot, regardless of the owner's demeanor that day.

Unfortunately many are and they fall into using their machines as a prop for massive egos and lack real passion (like the lady paying $100 to put her mustang out front). I personally don't let valets touch my cars and park myself, usually out of sight.

On a side note, in reading the article I was surprised no mention of Aston Martin.

Nobody gives a rats @$$ about what a valet thinks about a cars owner EXCEPT jealous ha8ers.

I've owned 6 Ferraris over the last two decades and agree that there are a lot more Ferrari owners that are way too anal about their cars than other brands. While I do try to park all my cars in a way that I won't get door dins, I never lock it unless I've leaving it somewhere overnight. I've left my convertible Ferrari, Porsche, Vette and Mustang parked outside restaurants, at the beach and in parking lots for hours with the top down with no problem. They are just cars.

Agreed. Valets aren't impressed bc they drive other people's cars. Big woop. Keep making fun of people who drive the cars you'll never own. O and a valet with a. Phd? What nonsense I don't even believe that

    I do.

It's a thesis called "Comparative Tolkien literature and postmodern expression" or "Linguistic expression of Kuru populations in East Borneo".

We all knew Andrew was somewhat under-utilising his Ph.D working in a Pizza delivery place, bet he didn't realise he could be conversing with Bentley drivers instead.

This has to be the dumbest quote I've ever read.

Robert at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek tells PopMech that one of their valets has a Ph.D., and two have master's degrees, so they know how to carry on a conversation with a Bentley driver.
