Also at Gooding will be this '73 Dino 246GT Coupe *04946* http://www.goodingco.com/vehicle/1973-ferrari-246-gt/#tab2 Auction Estimate: $425,000 to $475,000 Shows Chairs and Flairs. Freeman
Were Chairs and Flairs both options on a '73 GT? Opps, edit .... just saw in the 'Compendium' that the first 246 with wing flares was #05454. So I take it 04946 does not have original flairs.
There is third Dino listed by Gooding and Company in the Scottsdale Auction, VIN 05724, estimate of $350K to $450K. It's a '73 GTS. 1973 Ferrari 246 GTS Dino | Gooding & Company
#05454 production date: 15th of Dec. 1972 (first flairs Dino) #04946 production date: 16th of Mar. 1973 !!! (very rare US-model 246 GT with flairs, unfortunately converted to Euro model ....)
I think it'll go for good money considering it's the first U.S. C&F Dino, looks gorgeous and I'm sure it drives amazing. The new owner can keep it this way and enjoy it for years and if desired, bring it back to as delivered. Jon's website mentions it was originally Yellow w/Black: http://dinorestoration.com/category/jons-246-gt/ http://dinorestoration.com/and-its-done/ In any case, it's turn-key and can be enjoyed as-is and be assured it's a rare blue chip investment restored to the highest standard. Hi all - The GOODING Auction is up live right now (10:10 AM, Saturday 01/18/2014), with a very good (for live internet - at least so far) video and audio feed. Here's the link: The Scottsdale Auctions | Gooding & Company I haven't tried it on a smartphone yet, so I don't know how well that works. Mark
