Okay, I have the 430 Spider and I love it. Another great year with the business, so starting to itch. So my question. Want the 458 Spider, but still floating over $300,000 and they will drop. When they do, how much will the hit be??? If I made the move it would be my 430 Spider and approximate $150,000 cash. So is it better to take the $100,000 and buy another toy car, like a Gallardo and have both, or maybe a 550 Maranello. They already leveled out. More of a controlled depreciation. Enjoy both cars, for next year plus wait till the new Ferrari comes out, then grab a 458 Spider when the surplus will be at its highest. Not sure which way to lean.

I'd rather have two vs the one. Plus you can experience a mid engine screamer and a big v12 monster.

I have a 430 Spider and recently bought a very low mileage '07 Gallardo AWD. The two cars compliment each other very well and are pretty different drives. I too considered the 458 but honestly the F430 is more fun to drive ... until the Speciale arrives.

Wait for the Speciale to come out and the prices of the 458 to drop. Go buy yourself a gated F355 for $50k and have a blast and save a ton of money. Not a big fan of the 550 M. Gallardo's being replaced soon with the Huracan Cabrera so their prices will drop as well.

    I Love my F430 spider...But I understand the desire for a 458! Think I'd rather have a 458 than both an F430 and Gallardo! Just my .02

    Do both. I have a 360modena manual, a F430spider F1, and a 08' Gallardo e-gear. Love all the cars for different reasons. :D

Retro time. Get a great 87 or 88 328 and keep your 430. Experience the difference that 20+ years provides. I drive my 328 one day, and my wife's 430 the next...it is remarkable fun slugging through the gears and wrestling the wheel and stomping on the clutch in the 328...and then sitting back flicking the paddles and watching the rev counter spin. There will be a couple of other guys who will (and properly so) advocate for a 12 cylinder companion.

For a little more $$, you can keep the 430 and buy a 599. Used one has dropped to around $160K (from over $300K!!!). Then you can experience a 12 cyl front engine Ferrari with relatively lower risk of depreciation.

These are horrible problems to have :)

I agree with an earlier response... check out a 16M (I sold my '07 F430 coupe, but kept my '06 Gallardo spider).

16M is an amazing car and it's limited production makes it even more special to own.
