Wow, so that's it? One word: Unimaginative. I don't think it's ugly, but it looks absolutely lame. The Gallardo was a leap forward, marking a fresh entry-level Lambo to compete with Ferrari's V8s. And I guess it did pretty well... with all it's facelifts and unnumerable different versions. Regarding the McLaren MP4 & the 458 (I would go so far to call it THE Ferrari of recent years, already an icon) it was time for Lambo to finally release a successor. I have to say I really don't like the Veneno or (could it be worse?) the Egoista. Anyway, with these extreme ideas and also the Sesto Elemento as a variation of the Gallardo's design in mind I hoped they will come up with something a bit more inspired. The "Huracan" looks like a Gallardo without the side intake... and as it looks pretty bland then, let's add a ridiculous, pointy vent where Ferrari recently put a small fin on their Speciale. *yaaaaaawn* Na, I was expecting more... much more

It looked better to me as well. The Italians do get a bit ahead in the styling occasionally.

I like the front grill because it looks so intricate. It reminds me of craftsmanship. It may be more flattering to the lines of the car to be black, not sure.

    Maybe accidental, maybe...

If this is really the Gallardo replacement then it's a huge disappointment. It isn't ugly, just safe and predictable.

Dammit, I really was hoping the vertical doors would appear on the replacement model.

The design is so dull. Just so terribly boring and dull. Really looks like an Audi product and you get the impression the designers have been given strict guidelines.

It's shame to see that this is what Lamborghini is turning into. No sense of innovation or flamboyancy, only consverativism. The rear flairs are the worst, makes the car look like a brick. The bonnet looks like a piece of a Hotwheels model.

Who would buy this over a 458 or 12C? Even worse, I'm 90% certain it will be out-performed by the successors of the aforementioned.

Don't worry... Audi has a plan. In a year they will put on a new round body, take away 30 ponies, reduce the price $100,000, put an Audi badge on it and sell 50 times as many as Lambo's.

Its hard to keep rehasing the same product design over and over unless you're porsche.

there is a reason why Porsche makes cars like the Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, Panamera and Macan. the 911 is getting long in the tooth.

the R8 cab may be more interesting than the Lambo for me.

Great? Maybe it will be as boring to drive as the car it replaces.

of course the car has to be somewhat "boring" - the gallardo sold over 14k units, this is designed to be understated so that it will appeal to many people.

if you want flamboyant lamborghini designs then go back and enjoy the egoista, veneno, reventon, etc

As always, the looks are very difficult to gauge based on pictures only and subject to debate, so I'd rather not go there!

Let's focus on the numbers, assuming Ferr9000's numbers prove to be right (which they normally are):
    - performance: right in the middle between the Italia and the Speciale, even though it's got slightly more power than the latter.
    - weight: about 50 kg more than the Italia which was introduced 4 years ago! And almost 150 kg heavier than the Speciale, which obviously is another type of car.
    - revs: a red-line at 7,800 RPM only, down from 8,500 RPM on the Gallardo. Even the new 911 GT3 does 9k RPM these days!

We don't know what the steering feel (normally not one of their strong suits) will be like, but based on this weight, these RPMs and the 4WD, count me out, regardless of the looks.

And according to Italian calendar 01-06-2012 as shown in the pic means 01-June-2012…. Quite strange not?

Numbers sound alright, but I think its safe to assume it's going to be very, very quick on a track. Numbers don't tell the whole story. Look at GTR and 991 TTS performance. The Gallardo will be among the fastest cars out there, I guarantee it.

Looks wise, it's so-so. Expected more.
