ok what is the "value of 993" coupe

what should I pay for

1996-1998 PORSCHE COUPE 993 or anybody has COUPE FOR SALE

 

I wouldnt pay more than 40k to 45k for a nice one. C2S and C4S go for 60k+.

 

Mileage and condition dependent. Standard C2 993 are in the 30's for excellent examples.

 

Buy a nice 993 asap....I only see them going higher & higher

I have owned 3 Porsches : Black Black 1997 C2S, tiptronic (disaster stay away & sold ) 2008 Cayenne GTS (sold) and my only Porsche now is a 1997 C2S Polar Silver with Red full leather interior and a proper manual tranny ( keeper ).

I asked before but what's the value range in a 1996 993 turbo, very good not perfect condition, midnight blue / tan 39,000 miles? All stock.

Well, yes, surprisingly close in my view, but on the other hand prices are really on the march for the tt, like all the turbos. I would estimate 30% gain in '13. SEe this very low miles but otherwise nondistinct example on ebay now, buy-it-now is $128K

I keep thinking about selling my '96 C4S.

But it's too much fun to drive in the summer.

I agree.

I wouldn't discount a nice '95. I know, not varioram, a little less HP, but no future hassle with SAI issues, and still OBD1.

 

Was thinking the same thing. I LOVE my '95, and if I haven't missed the power compared to a 997 or 991, I doubt I will miss it compared to a varioram-equipped 993.

FWIW, I went for a little higher mileage but in excellent shape inside and out with so many new components (clutch, shocks, brakes, tires, new 18"s, a set of Cup 17"s, on and on...) that it didn't really matter. The stack of records is formidable, and compression and leakdown were stellar. You can find well-maintained cars with some miles for $30k and under, though I don't know for how long.

 

Keep her IMO, nothing like a wide body 993.

 

And with a 95, you don't have that pesky immobilizer.

 

Ah, yes! Good point, forgot about that!

I also happen to like the apparently polarizing "basket handle" and, correct me if I'm wrong, that was a '95 only thing.

 

I am keeping mine I suppose, though I am definitely running out of room.

 

I made the mistake of selling my 993 four years ago to make room for my wife's Masi conv, even though I still had a 430spider, Diablo, and a brand new Masi in my garage, I missed the old dog so much!!
I suppose I was blessed , new owner of the 993 decided to sell it back after a few years, I didn't blink an eye, brought it home right back. If you have a good one keep it.

I'm a 964 guy (getting a C2, my first Porsche and also my favorite of the entire lot (believe it or not), summer '14!!), but spotting a 993 on the road always makes me smile.

 

in Australia a manual 993C2S comes under the heading near unobtainium! with a 964 C2 hot on its heals price double what you paying in the US which is normal

I am the original owner of this '96 911. It had 11 miles on the odometer when I drove it off the dealer lot in 1996. It now has about 53k miles.

A great car that I have never considered selling. I love the wood gear shift knob.

If you're looking for a low mileage no stories S, give Ray Joseph at RPM or Sloan a call.

As a data point, sold my 4S with <20k miles for $70k a bit over a year ago.
