    FBB- Ferrari contracted for both the 550 GTC and 575M GTC to be built. They were not private efforts, even though they were only campaigned by private teams/owners. Wayne can probably provide more details.

    This car was built by Italtechnica. 6 liter stroked engine was built by Elan Power. Car was first raced in US under Olive Garden sponsorship. During its racing life it had gone through quite a bit of aero and mechanical development as I have many plans and parts from previous builds. Car was then shipped to Australia and maintained by Maranello Motorsports and raced by Allan Simonsen to great success down under.

    Later cars were build by Prodrive. I think ones on the market in the last few years were mainly Prodrive cars.

    Hi Michael; thanks! The 456, being a little understated on the outside, definitely benefits in my view from a somewhat more exciting interior. In my view the model is at its best with tobacco or red on the inside.
    When buying it I was hesitating a little at first but then figured that to be a little more daring doesn't hurt; and you can view on it as an "inside-out" archetypical Ferrari colour scheme.
    People take positive notice, I can definitely recommend it.

    This is my favorite pic of the 456M that I've ever taken. US60 in New Mexico.

    The car is for sale, BTW. I posted a thread about it, but it was deleted because I wasn't subscribed at the time. I'm going to list it formally on March 1st, but if you're interested, you can contact me.

    George- Looks great. Are those 360 wheels or Barchetta wheels? Cannot tell from the photo.
