Again a very late post. This Saturday, Dec 21, is our monthly gathering at the Crossroads Diner. 8:30 AM 8121 Walnut Hill Lane. 1 block east of 75 on the north side of the street. Park in the west parking lot it is much more Ferrari friendly.

It is better to test them during actual rain.

Scratches the glass less that way.

512Ms don't and I might have had one there if it didn't have 15 years on the belt service. Thanks to all of the hard core people that showed up.

I will probably put the monthly meeting on sabbatical for a couple of months and then pick back up in March.

If so do you guys want to change the venue or keep it at the Crossroads Diner? Perhaps we can do a quick poll on F-chat.

Sorry I missed this month's breakfast...hopefully start back up in the new year. As for the venue, I like that place a lot so would vote to keep it at the Crossroads.

    Don,
Thanks for having the breakfasts this year. Crossroads did a very nice job. I am probably the only one that the location is really good for. Maybe look for something near Las Colinas, or west side of Dallas area. I never minded the Starbucks location either.

Why not have a few locations and rotate them a little?

The Crossroads does seem to be a little far away for many of us - is it possible we could find something in either Addison or Los Colinas? Another possibility would be to go back to the Starbucks on Belt Line for a few months in the spring before the weather gets hot.

The Egg & I on Arapahoe just east of the Tollway is also a possibility - I asked them and they would be glad to have us - they have parking and a private room. The Rolls-Royce club has had breakfast there on the second Saturday each month for many years - we could set ours up for the third Saturday of the month there.

There is a place in Las Colinas someone told me about. Parking is not a problem, I am going to run by there next week to check it out. I am curious if we did move it to a more central location if we would have a better turn out. ( maybe some new faces from Fort Worth?)

I think everybody kind of got tired of it, but the best turnout (IMHO) that we have ever had for the Saturday morning coffee was that Starbucks on Belt Line just west of the Tollway.

My vote is to try the place in Las Colinas once and just see if we draw anybody from Ft. Worth...

I will start doing a little reconnaissance out in the Las Colinas area and see if I can locate something that looks appealing. I keep remembering the first Diner I looked at and their response was you can park in the back but we are really not interested.

There is a Diner that Jenn and I have gone to before near Addison called the Diner of Dallas. It used to be a Norma's Cafe, but then the name changed. They have a nice large parking lot, but no separate room for a gathering.

I enjoyed the Starbucks meetings because you could come and go at whatever time you chose. You could stay for a few minutes, or a long time. The Crossroads was a little more structured and it made it a little tougher to be a regular. The food was awesome though.
