Don't bother. IMHO.

The single disc flywheel that you'll need is outrageously expensive -- and the cost savings between a double-disc clutch and the single disc clutch isn't worth it.

Maybe I wasn't clear originally.

The flywheel must be changed if you convert to a single disc setup. The clutch disc is irrelevant. You'd have to go through three 'cheap' single disc clutches before you could offset the investment of a new flywheel. Unless you plan to keep your car for 120k miles, it is hard to cost justify the conversion.

 

Have your discs re-lined, it'll cost about the same to have both re-lined as one new clutch disc.

My post is merely an addendum to others, which include Daniel's (RICAMBI) post, as well. Don't try to F--- with Maranello . This isn't just about clutch discs. There's that (very major) flywheel issue. What you've got, is what you've got (single or double disc). So we (collectively) take care of "what you've got".
