From Dave Hughes He bowled to the left... He bowled to the right- That Mitchell Johnson makes England look S h ! Te!!
I hope Steve355F1 was there today, he could have had some laughs at the Pommies expense I haven't seen bowling like that since Dennis Lillie
Yesterday would have been brilliant from an Aussie perspective, 500+ runs, knock the poms over for small change, come back in and get the lead back over 500, ... all good stuff and glad you enjoyed yourself Dazza
Oh yeah. I was there. Here again now. I have a sore throat from booing Broad and then cheering like a madman when he got a golden. Probably my favourite sporting moment of the last few years.
Another great display from the Aussies. I think Joe got Rooted, but otherwise the Poms are throwing their wickets away again. They'll be lucky to make 250 from here, unless Bell can produce one of his excellent knocks.
You bloody beauty!! Even I wouldn't have predicted such a stunning result, but I did say based on first hand experience in England in August that there was very little between the teams. Despite what Noseheavy claims the Poms were massively flattered by the result over there. Weather, crap umpiring, dodgy DRS, doctored pitches, questionable tactics by the Poms, some bad luck, and a couple of good sessions by them and bad ones by us all conspired to produce the 3-0 result, but it simply did not reflect the true state of the teams. If the Poms had any brains they would have immediately recognised that they were bloody lucky to win that series and worked extremely hard to be better before coming here. Instead they got cocky, thought they were much better than they really are, and came out here with poor preparation and a poor attitude. I mean, fair dinkum, their 84 page book on what they were prepared to eat was an utter joke and an indictment on the mindset of the team and the people around them. Well, they have been taught a lesson in cricket and humility, and I can see a 5-0 drubbing coming up. Go you Aussies!!
Hangover from hell. May actually be dead. But have dragged my sorry arse downstairs for start of Boxing Day Test. Hoorah!
Why are we fielding ?? Ian Chappell use to say if you win the toss you think about bowling then say "we'll bat thanks"
Exactly. Strange decision. Must think there's something in the pitch. Of course if we have them 4/70 at lunch it will be a stroke of genius.
If Smith hadn't dived in front of Clarke, Carferry would already be cooling his heels. Wicket any minute now...
Lol Hi all and a belated Merry Christmas. Not been watching or following the cricket at all but a quick scan of the results so far looks like I've not missed a lot from an England point of view - we seem to have forgotten how to bat....and bowl.... Or your guys have remembered how to. Whatever has happened it's a bit of a turnaround from a few months back and I don't think the pitches are completely to blame. Think Steve predicted an Ausi whitewash in this series and I said no way. It's not over yet but I'm ever so slightly less confident in my ridicule of that prediction than I was. Positives from an England perspective? We're being slaughtered by a slightly lower margin each match. Perhaps by the 5th test we can give you a match that doesn't resemble your national team playing the Red Lion pub team from the next village from me I would say "good luck" for the remaining tests but it doesn't seem you need it. I'll try to keep an eye on what's going on in the final tests and pop on here from time to time, if only to give you lot someone to take the piss out of. Only fair - had the odd pop at your expense a few moths back. Hope Santa brought you all something nice. I got a double, 2 story 'garage' for the fezza, about half built now. Garage is in '' as it's to be fully decorated, heated with slate stone floor etc Down stairs has one and a half height ceiling and will have a 10 foot screen for a golf simulator (car will be netted off!) which can also be used to watch the rugby, F1 or even the odd movie - sort of a cinema room / lounge but with a Ferrari in it. Upstairs will be set out like a mini pub with a pool table, bar and one of the new Dimplex optimyst fake but life-like fires (have to be seen to be believed - Opti-myst Stove - Piermont). Anyway, we'll see how the cricket goes but from an England perspective I'm not exactly holding my breath. When does the Rugby season start?
Haha! Fair play to you Pete. No bitterness detected despite us having many a dig at your lot for the last month or so. But I don't believe you haven't been following it! Your garage sounds excellent. What's the story with this golf simulator thing? Sounds promising. We have a home theatre room which is crying out for something interesting in it. A golf simulator could be just the ticket... Don't know what rugby is. Possibly some homer-sexual thing the weirdos up north do which makes all the blokes fat and have no neck. But I could be wrong...
Mate, we don't need any more heat, temps here (QLD) mid 30s and will be north of 40 in the next couple of days. The pool is getting hit very hard right now You sissy girls wouldn't last 5 minutes playing a man's game
