A Countach or Mirua can pull off any colour combination and do it with ease. Rules don't apply to Lamborghini.

One of my favourite combinations is this lime green with blue Miura and no, don't try this at home on a Ferrari.

Lamborghinis are expected to have wild color schemes.

Here is the well-known pink/dark blue LP500S. Yep, I saw it back in the day with my own eyes.

I also remember seeing a pink countach in Paris in the 80s. As far as I remember, it was not the same. I recall a white interior, but I am not sure.
    Do you know any other?

Correct! On EE plates EE.94227. No idea what became of it, but I'd bet its no longer white, as is the case with the UK LP500S (now white).

    Don't know of any other.

There is also the "apricot" coloured QV with the green interior...

Thanks for an enlightening thread. I enjoyed it, as I'm sure many others did as well.

By far the most beautiful Countach was the apricot one. I wonder if it still exists?

None of these days. It's in the Lambo museum you're about 12 years too late.

@ Joe, not that I would. But let's say I got a wild hair in the you know where and had a few Louis XIII too many and decided to do a proper color change to pink or apricot would that destroy any future value to my son's car?

What's your opinion of the recently red turned blue with the red interior?

Correct, in that particular instance, BUT... As we just saw a red one become a blue one, Verde Ithaca applied to another IS not outside the realm of reason.

Yep that pink car with the grey accents was quite something.

Here's me as a Countach obsessed 14 year old sitting in it at one of the Carrera Sport days. Now I'm just Countach obsessed 40 year old ;-)

I can only imagine what was going through your mind. These cars were truly the stuff of dreams. The closest I ever got was an Alpine promotional car on a flatdeck parked in front of an Alpine store.

Yes finally after 8 years of blood sweat and tears.

That's why it pains me to see what Karlton is going thru with his project.

At the end of the day it's what the owner wants not what the shop wants to do.

Note that the motor has incorrect "S" red paint on the cowling & fan. The cowling was replaced with NOS green fiberglass original 906 Carrera parts and the fan was also replaced with an original NOS 906 part, the 2.0 Marelli distributor was left out for now only because like the Countach the MSD is more reliable. And yes the battery is back into it's original location with all the original factory brackets.

You have no idea the grief and legal headache I went thru with that thing, another reason why I'm having a hard time finding someone to work on the Countach.

I have more into that car than I do in both of my Countaches combined. (exclusive of legal fees) =X

Not just any 914 It's a factory 914 6 GT car. 100% restored from top to bottom side to side inside out.

The parts are impossible to find even if you have the funding.

A recently restored example sold in the mid 600k range.
