I don't think anyone knows and I suspect there is a certain randomness to it. Why do I say that? I was told by my dealer that my FF went "on the water" on 12/5. That was the last thing either the dealer or I heard until the car arrived in San Diego on 12/21, a surprise to all concerned. The dealer had expected it hopefully next month.

Yes... FNA is in NJ, but the car is shipped to the dealer. In this case it went ashore at the port in NJ and made it across the country by truck to the dealer in San Diego before anyone said that it had landed. It was a surprise to the dealer as well as to me. I have heard of the trip taking much longer. So my point is that I don't think there is any definite way of telling how long it will take.

Earlier this month I bought some stuff online from the Ferrari Store. FedEx posted about 5 entries for every little movement of my one little package .............. and a dealer can't find out where the hell a $300K+ car is???

Not sure you can focus on a date, as my dealer said the Ferrari information/computers are antiquated, so when they predict in 30 days, it can arrive on the truck to the them the next day. They need to get new technology/lessons from Porsche who is pretty much spot on with status and delivery.

You would think so, but the FoSD dealer told me that a much earlier FF order had not yet shown up. Go figure.

Very good point... For something of this value and today's technology there's no reason why they shouldn't know.

I did. It showed up on December 21. It turned out to have been airfreighted even though I had not specified that.

6-8 weeks from time car is "on water;" On water simply means car has left factory; no less than 6 weeks; and don't hold your breath; biggest bottlenecks are port at La Spezia and Port of New Jersey (FNA)
