Only bought the car to match my driveway. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Totally agree, a 5 year old Ferrari with basically the same engine as the Enzo for the same price as a new base model 911 was my rationale. Nevertheless still had to show my wife the approved used prices for the 360 to get her approval before buying the car. She's none the wiser that what's now sitting on the drive came in at a slightly higher price point with a few extra cylinders on board!!!!
Guaranteed your wife will love this car, it is so comfortable in daily driving, even by Mercedes/Audi standards.
Looks fantastic. Can you tell us more what has been done to the car? Blacked out grill, matte roof finish, carbon scudettos?
I drive my 612 a lot. Amazing car and good at everything it does. I've driven it in snow and icy conditions as well. Tricky but fun. A true gentlemen's Ferrari. Looks and sounds great (I have one of the last OTO's produced). I've enjoyed every km I've driven it and will enjoy many more km's in the coming years. Always loved the looks of the 612 and the car hasn't lost any of it's appeal to me. Wife and kids love it as well. Enjoyed some longer trips (use it to drive to tracks where we enjoy the 458C). As to how it compares to the GTO: no comparison possible. The GTO is in a league of it's own. I'd like to refer to the various posts I've made on this forum talking about my impressions of the GTO. Racked up 17,500 km's so far. The trio I have now (599 GTO, 612 OTO and 458C) makes up the perfect match. Each has it's specific role. What car to I love most: The GTO ... hands down. But that doesn't take away anything from how much we (my wife drives the 612 as well) love the 612. Happy New Year to all and enjoy your Ferrari's = drive them as often as you can!
Thanks, You really have a well rounded Ferrari stable that clearly gives you plenty of driving options depending on your mood/use...
There are some beautiful cars in this thread. I know this is a useless comment but I just had to say it.
Hi Pav,sorry for delay have been bobbing up and down in the sea on a xmas cruise to the med never again I tell you it was like a bucking bronco he he,the car was specced by ist first owner whos quite famous in the Ferrari world, the car as you can see is finished in white with black leather and white contrast stitching interior and alcantera inserts in seats. The car has genuine carbon door handles and fuel flap and carbon wing shields, black roof and door mirrors and the gto grill, also fitted with a tubi exhaust which is awesome, hope this helps im told by the supplying dealer that the car cost the first owner nearly 300k so was very pleased to get it for less than half that with just 900 miles on it.Will post a load of pics when out of storage. cheers simon
Thanks , the driveway pavers continue into the hall land , around 10,000 sqm. Stefan , they both great car to own , each one had its way of enjoyment. I prefer the lambo when I'm alone , love the 599 when I'm with wife. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
